MSI Teases Frieren Collaboration Release

MSI’s Bilibili account has published a teaser and while the post itself is vague, it’s easy to put together what we can expect.

The China region has been very open in anime’ collaboration as the past 5 years have showed us but MSI has been very active trying to one-up ASUS in these beloved IP collaboration. We’ve recently seen MSI team up with their typical collaborator Capcom for their Monster Hunter collection but we’ve also seen some one-offs like the Toy Story x MSI PC.

MSI’s Bilibili official account made the teaser post containing the image above and vague, the post itself isc captioned:

The magic within the grimoire is about to be revealed… #MSI# #LimitedCollaboration#

There is only one character in anime right now that has an obsession with collecting grimoires and that’s Frieren from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. As supported by the copyright disclosure on the image itself, MSI is collaborating with Toho Animation to bring a collab release featuring IPs from the series.

Right now there’s no other hint of what this could be except for the fact that the MSI Graphics Card BU Bilibili account made the post narrowing down the possible inclusion for this one. There’s only been one high-profile collab for Frieren on the PC space from Starforge Systems for a fully  built system featuring a custom case and was shown off during COMPUTEX 2025.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End is an ongoing manga (hiatus) and anime’ series with the anime currently on its second season run and the manga on-pause due to the mangaka’s health concern. The anime has sparked global interest in the IP, and Frieren, Fern, Stark, and her old party of Himmel the Hero (human), Eisen (dwarven warrior),  and Heiter (priest / corrupt priest accdg. to Frieren) all have enjoyed a measure of popularity with its anime run.

Frieren herself is very popular so its easy to assume MSI is going for the easy kill and just go with Frieren with a nice artwork redeco of their current RTX 50 line-up. MSI’s collab playground has been their GAMING series so the likeliest we can see here are popular Chinese SKUs like the RTX 5070 Ti GAMING 3x getting a Frieren redeco for this release.

As with most Chinese announcements, this will probably be heavily be region-restricted unless global interest increases and licensing clears. Still, looking forward to what MSI does with this one.
