In the light of Dota 2’s pro-scene with the rise of new teams such as Unknown, A veteran team bids farewell. Natus Vincere[Na’Vi] just announced the disbandment of its Dota 2 Roster.ย Their failure to qualify in the on going Frankfurt Major tournament despite the efforts from the players led to decision of disbanding the team.
In a press release posted on their website, NaVi’s COO Igor “caff” Sydorenko expressed his hard feelings in the disbandment of the squad. This is a very unfortunate turn in eSports history. But this also opens new opportunities for their veteran players such as Danil “Dendi” Ishutin, Alexander “XBOCT” Dashkevich, and Gleb “Funn1k” Lipatnikovย who stayed in NaVi since 2011. NaVi’s COO also announced that it will reveal its new roster next week.
NaVi’s dota 2 team is one of the most inspirational teams in dota. Coming from dota 1, the team was able to attain champion in valve’s 1st The International Championships. Na’Vi also garnered 2nd Place in The International 2 & 3 against invictus Gaming and Alliance respectively. Since then, NaVi kept on surprising dota 2 fans with its teamplays. Dendi, dota 2’s star because of his gameplay & his interaction towards his fans.
