Over the last week, more news of upcoming graphics cards are popping up particularly regarding NVIDIA’s RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti. Both cards are not officially announced as of yet but the RTX 3080 Ti has been floating around in rumors since last year as the presence of a Titan-like product like the RTX 3090 usually entails the release of an RTX 3080 Ti.

Latest news shows us that the RTX 3080 Ti may be accompanied by the RTX 3070 Ti. VideoCardz has recently published potential ASIC codes for both cards with the RTX 3080 Ti using the GA102-225 and the RTX 3070 Ti will have the GA104-400. The cards will have 12GB of GDDR6X and 8GB GDDR6X respectively but this is not final.
While this may be put aside as rumors, comments about MSI’s recent investor calls suggests that NVIDIA has still GPU releases in Q2 2021. Potential releases are either the RTX 3080 Ti, RTX 3070 Ti or the RTX 3050 Ti. Regardless, NVIDIA may be looking to see the RTX 3080 Ti first but delays may be pushing it past the supposed April announcement. That said, news points at a May announcement after NVIDIA GTC 2021. The RTX 3080 Ti is reported 4% slower than the RTX 3090 with no SRP announced as of yet.
NVIDIA’s stock situation has not improved so these cards may not be changing that as well.
