With pre-launch speculations rampant building up to to the launch of AMD’s 3rd-generation Ryzen and X570 boards, we’ve seen numerous dealers in the Philippines post pricing and details about motherboards and processors.

We posted an article detailing leaked prices prior to launch but aside from the pricing itself, the most glaring issue was the requirement to purchase a motherboard with a processor. These are mandatory bundles and dealers were either not accepting orders for individual purchase or adding a price on top.

PCHub notes were leaked ahead of launch with a pricing note of Php2000 to Php4000 markup should user only purchase the CPU. This was met with severe disappointment from consumers wanting to upgrade their previous-gen AMD Ryzen CPUs to the new Ryzen 3000.

Above is a screenshot taken PRIOR to launch from PCHUB’s official pricing list. Note that these details were taken before launch.

Launch day pricing – PCHUB

With launch day upon us, PCHUB is releasing this listing noting that processors will be available without needing to purchase a motherboard. Consumers will receive discounts if they purchase with an X570 motherboard but is not required. This has been confirmed by PCHUB directly to us.

As of this writing, we’re still receiving reports of store pulling forced bundles but as of this moment we can only confirm PCHUB and JDM to have no forced bundles.
