The most awaited AMD RX 480 is now available in the Philippines. It has an MSRP of $200 (9399.10 Philippine Peso).
If you are looking to buy one, here are the price list of each card according to PCHub and Strategic Technologies.
Strategic Technologies Pricing of XFX RX 480: ₱14,500
PCHUB Pricing of XFX RX 480: ₱14,500 Php13,800
PCHUB Pricing of Sapphire RX 480 8G: Php13,800
Easy PC Pricing of XFX RX 480: Php 14,450
And as expected, Philippines will not enjoy the cheap pricing of this card based on the extra 5,000+ pesos on the top of the SRP as the pricing of these stores. That includes the taxes, shipping cost, and profit.
Let us take this moment to thank our Philippines government for making everything expensive.

Reading some of the reviews, the *reference* 480 is matching an OC’d 970, but in certain areas, exceeding its rival.
Will be waiting for the custom cooler versions from other partner brands, and more options for those who still use DVI ports and even VGA ports.
I’m still reading up on it and from what I see its a mixed bag. It can’t do 4K obviously but it sits nicely above or evenly with a 970. That said, these cards can easily drop to 200$ should NVIDIA find it necessary to delay its 1060 and let the GTX 970 compete with the RX 480.
This is not even close to 980/Fury X, the card’s performance is in between 960 and 970 reference cards. Such a disappointment from AMD, I should’ve thought twice getting a freesync. But still the card still rocks at 1080p gaming so it’s okay.
Lol you’re full of shit. It’s definitely FASTER than any factory overclocked GTX 970, and with a 6 to 7% overclock, which is the most professional reviewers have gotten from the *reference* RX 480, it manages to match the R9 390X and GTX 980.
It safe to say that it is slower than the factory oc’d gtx 970. But wait til the factory oc’d rx 480…hehehe. And take note that card was supposedly to compete with 960. Raja said that a month or 2 ago. So crossing fingers to reach 980 though at its price point….hehe
Cheers!
Come back if you find a better Price/Performance one of RX 480. :3
Like yea DX11 lols,.where even RX 480 can keep up .. What about DX12 Vulcan And A sync . even 1070 and 1080 cant do a proper A sync in Vulcan cause Nvidia do it Virtually rather than do it in a proper hardware and its because it still using a Maxwell base Architecture and rumoured the NVIDIA Volta?nxt to pascal is still Maxwell base which SUCKS Nvidia is not planning to implement A sync. Think about the Future CAVE MAN
pedeng pede silang ireport sa DTI nyan hahaha nako po :)) bukas na ung simula ng pag upo ni Duterte lagot hahah
Over Price pa more
d nmn po OP ang price nila. almost the same rin ang price nila sa singapore. 388 SGD
Shipping + tax
ohh i see kung shipping + tax edi sana pati ung mga i7 6700 worth 22.5k na ngaun 🙂
tutal 50% dba haha
Correction. 8gb pala to. its 268$ so ok alng sya. ang 10k talga yung 4gb hinde na talo still worth it padin.
anyone here can help me?
My current set-up is this.
Processor: AMD A10-7850K
Motherboard: Gigabyte A88X-HD3
Ram: G.Skill Trident X 8GB (2x4GB) 2400Mhz
Video Card: -NONE-
SSD: Crucial M500 120GB
HDD: Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB Blue
PSU: SilverStone ST50F-P Strider Plus 500w
Casing:CoolerMaster N200
and I’m planning to get the RX 480.
Would it be a worthy upgrade?
Yes
Definitely!
switch the A10 to an Athlon X4 845 because the APU will bottleneck the RX 480 and the iGP goes to waste.
nope… replace it with fx series or intel 4th gen or 5th gen much better.
Ace Quimpo Paul Salcedo Valderama I only have enough for the VC alone. I’m planning to save up for an i4 proc + mobo to replace it and make my A10-7850K an HTPC.
definitely!!! then crossfire your igpu with your dgpu…you might reach the power of more than the OC’ed 970 or (even close to 980) -purely guessing
but understanding the capability of 7850K + RX 480 (which claimed as the same(possibly higher) with 970)
so you’ll have have with it.
Nice AMD setup!
yung ~$230 naging $314 pag dating ng pinas… huwaw talaga ang presyuhan dito, haayyy… i just wish na yung naka aftermarket coolers would have a decent OC speeds out of the box, by then i think justifiable na siguro…
expected price sa partner companies ay mga $300. 1350Mhz sa Toxic, 1325 nmn sa Nitro (Sapphire Cards)
According to PCHub FB page, wala pa silang ibebenta na 4gb, puro 8gb. So is it safe to assume na around 10-11k ang 4gb version?
It is never safe to assume. :'(
Expensive more like a high end pricing thank you custom for enormous tax
When will 470s come? Interested in a really cheap card kasi can’t afford, hindi ko pa masyadong naramdaman yung pag lago ng ekonomiya according to citizen Noy. Hehe. And some redditors claimed na pwede daw ma-fry mobo mo kasi masyadong malakas humugot daw yung 480 sa PCI-e, pero exaggeration lang daw? Totoo po ba? Thanks!
I am an AMD Fan but what made me doubt about this card is with their power draw. It reaches upto 200W+ when OC’ed(possibility it may draw more power on the PCIE slot). Also, when running on base clocks it draws 85W on PCIE which maybe harmful for budget type motherboards.
currently running
CPU: FX 8320 Clocked @ 4.5Ghz
Mobo: AM3+ 970 Gaming G1
GPU: Sapphire Toxic R9 280X
But I am waiting for Partner Companies to produce 8-pinned (triple fan for PowerColor or The silver backplate of Sapphire Toxic)

I have my pc just for occasional gaming mostly for documents and office works.
It has:
i5 4440 @ 3.1 ghz
1*8gb of ram
600w power supply
No ssd
1tb HDD
Sapphire HD 6570/6750 (not sure) but hell of bad card.
Would this rx 480 worth the upgrade for me? I’m looking forward for playing 1080p games especially Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. 1920×1080 Acer monitor.
Absolutely, your i5 is still pretty capable 😀
Prices on gpu, cpu +++ costs the same here in The Phillippines as in Norway (one of the most expencive contry in the world), why is that? Must be hard for most gamers to keep up with the gpu race..
