List of Local Pricing of AMD RX 480 in the Philippines

The most awaited AMD RX 480 is now available in the Philippines. It has an MSRP ofย $200 (9399.10 Philippine Peso).

If you are looking to buy one, here are the price list of each card according to PCHub and Strategic Technologies.

PCHUB Pricing of Sapphire RX 480 8G: Php13,800

And as expected, Philippines will not enjoy the cheap pricing of this card based on the extra 5,000+ pesos on the top of the SRP as the pricing of these stores. That includes the taxes, shipping cost, and profit.

Let us take this moment to thank our Philippines government for making everything expensive.

Reading some of the reviews, the *reference* 480 is matching an OC’d 970, but in certain areas, exceeding its rival.

Will be waiting for the custom cooler versions from other partner brands, and more options for those who still use DVI ports and even VGA ports.

I’m still reading up on it and from what I see its a mixed bag. It can’t do 4K obviously but it sits nicely above or evenly with a 970. That said, these cards can easily drop to 200$ should NVIDIA find it necessary to delay its 1060 and let the GTX 970 compete with the RX 480.

This is not even close to 980/Fury X, the card’s performance is in between 960 and 970 reference cards. Such a disappointment from AMD, I should’ve thought twice getting a freesync. But still the card still rocks at 1080p gaming so it’s okay.

Lol you’re full of shit. It’s definitely FASTER than any factory overclocked GTX 970, and with a 6 to 7% overclock, which is the most professional reviewers have gotten from the *reference* RX 480, it manages to match the R9 390X and GTX 980.

      Reply
      • Seriously? on July 3, 2016 9:26 pm

It safe to say that it is slower than the factory oc’d gtx 970. But wait til the factory oc’d rx 480…hehehe. And take note that card was supposedly to compete with 960. Raja said that a month or 2 ago. So crossing fingers to reach 980 though at its price point….hehe
        Cheers!

Like yea DX11 lols,.where even RX 480 can keep up .. What about DX12 Vulcan And A sync . even 1070 and 1080 cant do a proper A sync in Vulcan cause Nvidia do it Virtually rather than do it in a proper hardware and its because it still using a Maxwell base Architecture and rumoured the NVIDIA Volta?nxt to pascal is still Maxwell base which SUCKS Nvidia is not planning to implement A sync. Think about the Future CAVE MAN

definitely!!! then crossfire your igpu with your dgpu…you might reach the power of more than the OC’ed 970 or (even close to 980) -purely guessing

but understanding the capability of 7850K + RX 480 (which claimed as the same(possibly higher) with 970)

so you’ll have have with it.

When will 470s come? Interested in a really cheap card kasi can’t afford, hindi ko pa masyadong naramdaman yung pag lago ng ekonomiya according to citizen Noy. Hehe. And some redditors claimed na pwede daw ma-fry mobo mo kasi masyadong malakas humugot daw yung 480 sa PCI-e, pero exaggeration lang daw? Totoo po ba? Thanks!

  17. PasserBy on July 1, 2016 10:35 pm

I am an AMD Fan but what made me doubt about this card is with their power draw. It reaches upto 200W+ when OC’ed(possibility it may draw more power on the PCIE slot). Also, when running on base clocks it draws 85W on PCIE which maybe harmful for budget type motherboards.

    currently running
    CPU: FX 8320 Clocked @ 4.5Ghz
    Mobo: AM3+ 970 Gaming G1
    GPU: Sapphire Toxic R9 280X

But I am waiting for Partner Companies to produce 8-pinned (triple fan for PowerColor or The silver backplate of Sapphire Toxic)
