Boxing isn’t the only event where Filipinos are kicking serious amounts of ass. At the recently concluded NorCal Regionals fighting game tournament, Ryan “BLG Filipino Champ” Ramirez took on legendary SF player Daigo “The Beast” Umehara in the top 8 bracket of the Super Street Fighter IV tourney. View the match and more, with commentary from Capcom community manager Seth Killian and BLG Juicebox.
As an added bonus, here’s Filipino Champ’s previous victory over Daigo at  the SSF IV finals of SoCal Regionals, which undoubtedly drew a lot of controversy. Well, he pretty much proved he can go toe-to-toe with Daigo Umehara. To Daigo’s credit, he didn’t go down easily and made Filipino Champ work hard for his victories.
