The mystery is officially over, and the “Love of Play” has begun! PlayStation has kicked off 2026 by confirming its massive Lunar New Year collaboration with Kim Chaewon of LE SSERAFIM.

Beyond the sales and the merch, the campaign is centered on a special four-part video series that explores how gaming connects us during the holidays, whether it’s with family, friends, sisters, or enjoying some quality solo time.

Episode Release Schedule

The campaign launched today with the first episode, “Family,” but there is plenty more content coming throughout the week. Mark your calendars for the full rollout:

  • Episode 1: Family – Released Today (Feb 3)
  • Episode 2: Friends – Feb 4
  • Episode 3: Sisters – Feb 5
  • Episode 4: Solo – Feb 6
  • Bonus: “Unstoppable Play!” – Feb 5
  • Bonus: “Balance Game” – Feb 11

Chaewon’s Gaming Life: Stray, Astro Bot, and Controller “Style”

Alongside the main commercial spots, PlayStation released an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview giving FEARNOTs a rare glimpse into Chaewon’s actual gaming preferences.

Her First PS5 Experience? Being a Cat.
When asked about her first console memory, Chaewon revealed she started with the hit indie game Stray. “The storyline is refreshing, and I loved the overall vibe and puzzle elements,” she shared. “The cat’s movements were so realistic that I felt like I had actually become a cat while playing.”

Her New Favorite: Astro Bot
During the shoot, she got hands-on time with PlayStation’s latest mascot platformer, Astro Bot, calling it the most fun game she’s played so far. “The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller blended perfectly with the gameplay,” she noted, adding that the tactile experience made it unforgettable.

Midnight Black vs. Chroma Indigo
Chaewon also weighed in on the DualSense color debate. While she admitted the Chroma Indigo (purple with a blue tint) looked “elegant and stylish,” her personal pick was something more understated. “Personally, I liked the black one (Midnight Black) the most. Its sleek vibe is totally my style.”

Win a Signed Controller

If you want to game like Chaewon, keep your eyes peeled on the PlayStation Asia Instagram channel. They have announced a social campaign where fans will stand a chance to win a DualSense wireless controller signed by Kim Chaewon herself.

Stay tuned to the official social pages for the mechanics, and don’t miss the “Balance Game” video dropping on February 11!

Merchandise Collaboration

Beyond the digital campaign, PlayStation is partnering with the popular Korean lifestyle brand Wiggle Wiggle. The collaboration features a limited-edition “Love of Play” merchandise set, which includes:

  • PlayStation-branded Washable Home Slippers
  • Acrylic Clips (2-piece set)
  • Acrylic Coasters

These items will be available to fans who participate in select PlayStation Asia social activities in the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
