ASUS expands its product offerings with the release of the Ryujin and Ryuo CPU liquid coolers. These coolers are equipped with Noctua’s Industrial PPC fans to provide maximum cooling with minimal noise. The ROG Ryuo and Ryujin is ROG’s take on how AIO cooling should be done.
ROG RYUO AIO
The ROG Ryuo is considered to be their entry level cooler with a 120mm or 240mm radiator configuration. The cooler has
The block has a similar signature with that of the NZXT Kraken X42/72 series with a round glossy display. The block has an 1.77″ color OLED display that can be used for personalized logos/animations as well as real-time stat monitoring.
ROG RYUJIN
The ROG Ryujin is ROG’s flagship cooler. It’s pump/block design if different compared to the Ryuo. It has a more ROG-like feel at first glance.
The cooler comes in either a 240mm radiator or a 360mm variant. Kudos to ROG for offering a 360mm variant as there are only 2 other 360mm AIOs in the market.
The pump is divided diagonally with an LED strip with the upper right having a brushed aluminum finish with a Republic of Gamers text on top while the lower half sports the same 1.77″ OLED display similar to the Ryuo.
The innovation that ASUS made with this cooler is that through its enourmous block, they managed to fit in a micro fan that cools nearby components such as the VRM area or the M.2 slot. Noise might be an issue with the implementation of a micro fan on the pump as there is now an additional component generating noise aside from the pump. Moreover, the cooler might suffer compatibility issues with other boards as the block as a larger footprint than a regular AIO. The tubes might have RAM clearance issue.
