ROG x EVANGELION-02 Collection Officially Revealed

As reported earlier, ROG will be unveiling a second collection as part of their ROG x EVA collaboration project. Released in 2022, the ROG x EVA project debuted featu

ng Shinji Ikari’s unit 01 color scheme with the purple and green colorway. This year, ROG will be featuring another key character from the anime and this time around it won’t just be the mecha that will be the highlight as the likeness of Asuka Langley Soryu will be displayed on the products as well.

Earlier news gave us a glimpse of the included products in the ROG x EVANGELION-02 project and now we have formal confirmation of the actual inclusion in the set from as revealed in ASUS’ mini-site:

The set will include 9 new products with 2 returning models from the previous collection listed below:

• ROG HYPERION EVA-02 Edition
• ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO EVA-02 Edition
• ROG Strix RTX 4090 EVA-02 Edition
• ROG Ryujin III 360 EVA-02 Edition
• ROG Strix Scope RX EVA-02 Edition
• ROG Gladius III Wireless Aimpoint EVA-02 Edition
• ROG Herculx EVA-02 Edition
• ROG Harpe Ace grip tape EVA-02 Edition
• ROG RX keycap set EVA-02 Edition

And the returning products from last collab are the:

• ROG Scabbard II EVA edition (NERV design)
• ROG Thor 1000W Platinum PSU EVA edition (NERV design)

The NERV designs were included in the original ROG x EVA release and did not feature the purple/green EVA-01 color scheme but rather a gunmetal grey with red trims and tech highlights for the design.

ROG HYPERION EVA-02 Edition

The ROG x EVA-02 Hyperion chassis features a red external with bits of purple and orange while the internal remains black like the original. An artwork of Unit-02 is on the front area and currently we don’t have a rear board panel image to see if they have Asuka or Unit 02 over there nor the main glass panel where ASUS has a decal of the characters.

ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO EVA-02 Edition

Clad in EVA-02’s red and orange, the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO EVA-02 Edition features similar styling as the its set partners but instead of the icons or styling, the IO shroud features Unit 02 and Asuka herself on the light-up display.

ROG Strix RTX 4090 EVA-02 Edition

If Asuka is your waifu, nothing gets more premium than this: the ROG STRIX RTX 4090 EVA-02 Edition features a full-color print of Asuka on the backplate with the ROG red and blue logo on the fan shroud replaced with a red shroud with an orange and green logo. The LED light-up edge seems to default to orange but being RGB, it can be customized.

ROG Ryujin III 360 EVA-02 Edition

Another new product released in 2023 debuting with this set, the Ryujin III is the latest iteration of ROG’s AIO cooler featuring the latest Asetek cooling tech as well as a new fan set with no-cable connectors to allow a cleaner look. The ROG Ryujin III 360 EVA Edition seems to be only offered in this configuration without the Noctua fan version.

ROG Strix Scope RX EVA-02 Edition and

ROG RX keycap set EVA-02 Edition

The ROG Strix Scope RX featuring ROG RX optical switches will receives its own EVA-02 edition with a red baseplate and a custom keycap set. The keycap set will be offered separately as well for use with other ROG RX switch keyboards like the ROG Claymore II and ROG Azoth.
