I just got word that Alienware-Mineski Pro Graming League will be having a Starcraft II tournament at Mineski Infity next sunday, October 31. This is the first ever Philippine Starcraft 2 tournament that is recognized by Blizzard and the tournament is open for all players who have Starcraft 2 accounts and who will be coming to the venue.

Registration:
- Tournament Registration will be ON SITE and strictly from 1 pm – 2 pm only!
Commentary and live streaming:
There will be commentaries and live streaming on the event, to watch you can go to the mineski live streaming site on game day.
Who can join?
EVERYONE, as long as you have a working starcraft 2 account you can take part in it!
Tournament Layout:
- 2 stages:
- the first will be group stage – players will battle it out in a round robin format, in 4 different groups, top 2 from each group will then reach the ELIMINATION stage
- ELIMINATION stage – this is where we sort out the best of the best. Best of 3 matches, double elimination.
- the FINALS will be best of 5. A possible 5 epic matches to determine the first ever AMPGL-SC2 Champion!
Servers
NA or SEA, depending on lag, priority will be on NA servers
Map Pool:
Map thumb-down system
Before each match in the group stage, players will thumb down one map at a time from the map pool until one remains. This map gets played.
In the elimination stage, players thumb down one map at a time from the map pool until three remain (Bo3); players thumb down one map at a time from the map pool until four maps remain (Bo5).

Finally, there are no registrations nor rental fees for participants. But that’s not all! Free PC rentals for non-participants who has an SC2 account during the event.
