Yes, we have come to the point where all of the PC components and accessories have received the RGB treatment. But ROG ain’t done as they’ve given their apparel a dose of Aura RGB starting with the popular Ranger backpack.
ROG has long been spreading its AuraSync RGB lighting beyond the standard PC and Laptop landscape with the ROG Aura Terminal. This time, the ROG Ranger BP3703 is next in line with the bag’s logo and slash getting Aura RGB. The Ranger has an ambient light sensors that automatically adjusts the bag’s lighting to go up or dims it down depending on how bright your environment is. ASUS also gives you the ability to control the bag’s lighting through a dedicated Android app that connects via bluetooth offering ROG’s well-known lighting customization. A remote is built into the shoulder strap and it can store up to 3 lighting profiles and can be switched easily on-the-fly. The ROG Ranger requires a powerbank for its power. It has a Type-A port on its controller for phone charging while the Ranger’s RGB lighting is turned on.
RGB lighting aside, the Ranger BP3703 has a 20L capacity that can easily fit 17″ notebooks. One of its pockets has an RFID-blocker to protect against skimming on RFID-enabled cards.
Pricing and Availability
The ROG Ranger BP3703 will have a toned down version dubbed the ROG Ranger BP3703 Core. The Ranger Core won’t have any lighting nor electronic features but it will have the same capacity, RFID-protected pocket and smart design with the RGB version. Both Ranger Bags will be available later this year with no official pricing as of writing.
