With Toycon 2011 ending two days ago, me, Billy and Edward are still reeling from all the hubbub our joint booth with gameops had caused (the booth during toycon practically had tons of people staying and playing SSFIV, MvC3 and Tekken 6: BR) I finally got my wits back together to make a post about the experience.
If you’re expecting that this post would cover a big congratulatory remark for those who participated and won the 2 separate tourneys we’ve had, you’re mistaken since I want Billy to dedicate a single post for that since YOU GUYS ARE THAT SPECIAL (as if the title wasn’t indication enough).
Toycon 2011 was the first ever convention Back2Gaming was part of (to be spec. the FIRST EVER that WE’VE HAD A BOOTH) and this was our first shot in having a tournament, organized by us. Thankfully you guys didn’t mob us in a frenzied anger and everything was running pretty smoothly (well, as smooth as things can go).
So since we were busy manning the booth we weren’t able to go around and taking shots (well save for sam and cher) so most of the pics we have here are from the booth. Yes even Batman (who was cosplayed by our friend Tim Villasor) dropped by and joined the Razer Onza freeplay and Super Street Fighter IV tournament.
The event itself was tiring and stressful because we had to adjust to a lot of unexpected situations while setting up the booth and on the event days itself but it was all good. Here’s a hollah to Pinoy 2D Fighters’ BM and Shoryuken’s d3v who visited our humble booth (thanks BM for teaching me some Ken moves (yes I’m a ken user any problems? With that? lol) and for d3v who participated in our Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Tournament (aaand showing us your kick-ass fight stick)).
overall it was a fun and enjoyable event, and hopefully after this one we’ll be organizing more tournaments in the future. So without futher adieu here are the pics!
