Upcoming Game Releases for September 2020

Despite the quarantine, game developers are working hard to release new games. We can expect several upcoming game releases for September 2020. Let us take a look at what to expect this month.

1. Crusader Kings III

Coming on September 1st, Crusader Kings III is a strategy game that will be sold for $49.99. The game is available in Stream and other platforms. The game is the third sequel to its predecessors, the last being released in 2012. It was announced in 2019 and will be coming to shelves in September 2020.

The game is a dynasty simulator. The things you need to do are:

  • Build an empire
  • Train your army
  • Upgrade your kingdom’s power

We can expect the game to provide us with 3D characters, not 2D portraits that are often used in strategy games. In the game, fans will be delighted to know that the characters will have their unique set of powers and behaviour.

The game is set in the medieval age, and apart from war, the game also offers different republics, religion, and all sorts of things you would expect in running a kingdom. As a strategy game, you have to gather resources, strengthen your barracks, build stables, and then attack other armies.

2. WRC 9

This is a car racing game that will be available in consoles. The game will show exciting locations like rallies in Japan, New Zealand, and other countries.

World Rally Championship is from a French developer called Kylotonn. It will be available on the third of September on the following consoles:

  • MS Windows
  • Nintendo Switch
  • PS 4
  • Xbox One

It will also be released on PS5 and Xbox Series at a later date. Apart from rallies, the racing game will take you to off-road races. There are three new rallies plus 35 new stages that you can complete. You can create your own championship series, and also customize your car.

Players can use race boots from more than 50 selections. One of the biggest names to grace the game is the reigning world champion Ott Tänak. Fans of classic racing games like Need for Speed will certainly love this game. It has so many types of cars and rallies—you will spend dozens of hours playing.

3. Marvel’s Avengers

If you loved the movie, then you will definitely love the game. This is an action and adventure game published by Square Enix, the same studio that brought us the all-time favourite, Hitman.

The game takes place five years after the events of the first Avengers. In the game, the Avengers team is blamed for the death and destruction. However, the human race still needs the Avengers, which the player will soon realize as the game unfolds.

They have to regroup and save the world again from a new threat, one that aims to remove all superheroes from the world.

The game style is the third person, and you can play it on a single-mode or multi-player. It has a co-op mode, too.

The characters available are:

  • Captain America
  • Hulk
  • Thor
  • Black Widow
  • Ms Marvel

The game has several regions that you can explore. Each hero also has a variety of costumes that you can customize. All heroes can also be upgraded through the hero tree. You can play this on PS4, Xbox One, and other consoles.

4. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2

Fans of the skateboarding genre will definitely fall in love with this game. Tony Hawk is a classic, and they are about to give it a new life on September 4, 2020.

The game release is a remastered version of the first ones that were published 20 years ago. The game is a skateboarding sport that is played at the third-person view.

Here are the things you can expect in the game:

  • Choose a skateboarder and unlock others as you progress
  • Score points by performing tricks
  • Complete game objectives to unlock new tricks

If you are looking for nostalgia, this game is a definite must-have. The developers confirmed that the licensed songs from the classic games would come back in this remastered release.

All the professional characters from the first two games will also be back. Furthermore, the new release includes other new characters like Riley Hawk and Lizzie Armanto.

5. Doraemon: Story of Seasons

Fans of the Japanese character are going to get excited about this new release. It is a farming game that stars the adored Doraemon. Doraemon is an alien who helps Nobita, a human being, in his day to day life as a kid.

If you do not know it yet, this game has been around for 20 years. Here, the setting is in Natura. It is a land where the mystical Big Tree is located. The goal of the game is for Doraemon to help the town. In it, you need to build relationships with town residents. As you do this, you will also enjoy perks. The main theme is farming, so you need to raise horses and catch bugs. You also need to grow crops and gather these crops to build-up on your resources.

The game starts with planting a mysterious seed that Nobita found. This seed is going to grow, and this is the plant that transports the characters to a mystical land, which is Natura.

As always, you will have access to the unlimited gadgets of Doraemon. Nobita will also be in the game. Although the game had already been released in 2019, the worldwide release will not happen until September 2020.

6. NBA 2K21

This franchise has been around for decades, and there is no doubt that it has a lot to bring to the table, especially now that the new generation of consoles is coming. This release comes from Visual Gaming, but it is still published by 2K sports. It is coming to various consoles on the 4th of September.

It is revealed that this game will feature new technologies like ray-tracing. The game has shadow details, which did not come with the previous version. The game’s cover is going to be Damian Lillard from Portland Trailblazers. Kobe Bryant is also one of the covers of the game.

Based on the game’s trailer, this one has better graphics than its predecessors. However, what new stuff can we expect?

Well, for one, the developers raised the maximum height for point guards. Now, you can create characters that have a height of 6’6″ and make them your point guard—something you cannot do in the previous games.

7. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim

If you like cross-genre games, then you have to check this one out. Due to worldwide release in 2020, the game is available in PS4 and was originally released in Japan in November 2019.

The game is a split between adventure and real-time strategy. Here, you can do battles with your characters. The game is about 13 high school students in a fictional war in the future. You will fight monsters called kaiju.

In this video game, you take control of players. However, you do not control just one. You will control 13 characters. These characters interact with each other. As you unlock each, you will begin to understand the storyline.

The gameplay has three types. One is the adventure, the second one is the battle type, and the third is the archive where your scenes are documented.

8. The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon

Due to be released on September 9, 2020, this is a DLC game from the same series. Here, old players will meet new NPCs and find new types of weapons and armour. New quests will also become available, and the new content will be sold for $14.99. There is also an expansion pack where you will get a surprise DLC that has not been attached yet.

In this DLC, you will travel to the new planet called Gorgon. You can do this after you get past the planet Monarch. You do not need to finish the whole game—you can travel on both worlds anytime.

In the game, you need to investigate a den full of monsters. You will encounter a woman named Minnie Ambrose, and she will ask you to solve a mystery. The DLC has a new narrative. Players will love that it introduces new weapons that are deadly, although they look ridiculous.

If you love games, you should certainly take a look at several of these titles. We highly recommend them to anyone—even if you are a fan of slots like Safari Gold Megaways. Before you buy any of these games, you need to ensure that you have the right console to play them.

We do not know what the future holds, but we are certain that there are new technologies out there. If you are a fan of casino games, the good news is that many slot machine developers are now looking at virtual reality gaming. Soon, we may have slots that we can play with VR devices.
