With 2022 soon coming to an end we can safely say that we have had a great year of games but maybe an even better one coming up. The announced titles that will be released next year already have fans very excited. Many big publishers are releasing great sequels to their biggest titles so there is much to look at. On another note, there are also many new online casinos in development so don’t miss the ultimate new casino guide.
With that let’s take a look at some of the most hyped games that will come out in 2023.
Marvel’s Wolverine
Developed by Insomniac Games, the studio behind Marvel’s Spider-Man games is coming back with another Marvel superhero game. The developers unveiled Marvel’s Wolverine a brand new game starring arguably the most popular x-man.
Marvel’s Wolverine is still in early development and not much is known except that the game will be coming to PS5. Since it is developed by the same team behind the very successful Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, it is easy to expect great gameplay. Lastly, the game will be suited for more mature audiences to suit the adamantium-clawed mutant.
Horizon Call of the Mountain
Coming from Guerilla games and Firesprite is the VR game set in the universe of the Horizon game series. It will place players in the middle of a post-apocalyptic version of the United States filled with deadly machines. The game will follow a new character’s adventure in the series. This is of course Ryas, the disgraced former Carja soldier searching for redemption, his journey will take him throughout the lands of the Carja and Nora homelands.
Horizon Call of the Mountain could be the first game to utilize the PSVR 2 upon its release. We can hope for a bundle that includes the game to make the VR sets purchase even more worthwhile.
Minecraft Legends
Minecraft Legends is an action strategy game inspired by one of the most popular games ever created, Minecraft. The game will keep the iconic block structure of the original but ad a strategic aspect to the game as you will need to lead your army to combat. The setting is a world where the Nether’s corruption is growing and your goal is to set up defenses to stop it.
Along your journey to protect the Overworld, you will meet all the usual enemies you can already find in Minecraft all united to help save their world. Minecraft Legends will be released on PS5 as well as Xbox and on PC.
Final Fantasy XVI
The long-awaited sixteenth incarnation of the final fantasy series comes a long four years after the adventure in Final Fantasy XV. Coming from the legendary studio Square Enix and sporting an amazing director in the form of Naoki Yoshida. A director that singlehandedly saved Final Fantasy XIV from failing and brought it up into the amazing game it is this day. With that being said we can expect nothing but the best from Final Fantasy XVI.
The game will feature a darker setting than its predecessor, one which is filled with monsters and evil humans who want to shatter the peace of the fantasy world of Valisthea. Additionally, we have already seen glimpses of the powerful summons and what we can expect the gameplay to look like. But of all the front of the game and biggest eye catch is the new main character Clive Rosfield. Sadly no UI or HUD elements were shown in the showcase so its hard to tell how some iconic parts of the series like the ATB and spellcasting will work. All the staples from the Final Fantasy games are here so it is sure to be a great game once it comes out.
