Off the string of new products from Cougar straight outta Computex 2016 we now have one of their new products together in the labs with the update to their mainstream gaming mouse, the Revenger based off the M500 series and a neat little accessory in the Cougar Bunker. In this review we have the Cougar Bunker mouse accessory. Watch the video and find out more!

Closer Look

The Cougar Bunker mouse bungee is a pretty standard concept with Cougar just elevating the game just a bit by using suction to secure the accessory in place. Its a relatively small accessory and sits quietly in your desk. A smooth rubber base secures it to the surface you stick it on and a plastic base serves as the main body with the rubberized stand holding your mouse’s cable in place.

User Experience & Conclusion

The Cougar Bunker is a great take on a standard idea and while it doesn’t add anything revolutionary to the concept, having the ability to firmly sit in place removes the need for a large base to counter the movement of the mouse cable reducing the footprint needed for the accessory. Build quality is top notch and Cougar really needs to put a warning on this thing that its got some really mean suction force and might tear coated surfaces or mar soft metal surfaces.

There are a couple of mouse bungees already in the market with the likes of Razer, Tt eSports, etc. taking on a more traditional approach while Roccat’s one is a bit more advanced. Plenty of other no-name brands also appear in searches but they just don’t seem to the have the quality to warrant long-term use or they just look horrible. In the case of the Cougar Bunker, its small footprint, suction feature and excellent build quality go together to really make it a stand-out item. Its a bit of a premium item but its a novelty after all rather than a necessity. Its up to you to decide if its worth it.
