Goat Simulator was the product of a gamejam that reached very positive responses after its trailer was released. The guys from Coffee Stain Studio decided to then release the game in retail in what can only be described as Grand Theft Auto with a goat.

Starting up the game, you are greeted by a goat. Once you start the actual game you will be prompted by a quick loading screen with a quick tutorial on how to jump, baa, lick and land perfectly on your hooves. That is all the intro you are going to get for this game. Once you are in control, you will be able to jump, baa, lick and ram anything and everything in sight in the game.

There are quests in the game for you to accomplish and this system is what gives the game some sort of direction in its completely sandbox nature. Collectibles are scattered throughout the game to find, people doing weird stuff and many more for you to discover and the game does not provide any inform regarding these. You are free to discover them yourself.

The gameplay, as mentioned, is a physics sandbox. You can control the goat to ram everything in sight causing maximum damage and doing stunts to lift your score for whatever purpose you feel the need to quantify ruminant destruction and backflips. Everything you do in this game pretty much has a name from headbutting a specific person to reaching high in the sky via jetpack and it adds up to the ridiculous amount of random bugs that the devs kept in the game for a ridiculous experience.

Ultimately, the humor dies down fast as you realize that there is really a limit to what you can accomplish in Goat Simulator. In all honesty, the developers do suggest spending your money elsewhere but curiosity overcomes the best of us. Goat Simulator is a fun game but that enjoyment only lasts for 10 minutes after randomly crashing into objects.

The devs explicitly mentions that the game will be buggy and your cash is worth being spent on something else. Should you have any negative backlash towards the game for not being worth it, buy Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
