An anime about using photography to meet girls? Brilliant.
And thus we open with cosplay photography!
Totally unrelated by the way, it was just a dream. Anyway, Kazuya recently was given a hand-me-down DSLR camera by his dad. And just like his track record of foraying into various hobbies, albeit temporarily, he tries out this photography thing.
And oh boy, instant excuse to meet and/or hit on girls.
And that, my friends, is what the show is about. Of course, it attempts to have some minor plot to move the story around, but largely for Kazuya to meet and interact with more girls, really. Like, he gets recruited by the Photography Club, a shady organization that pretty much attempts to take, uhm, questionable photos of girls.
Or like how the Photo Club, rivals to the Photography Club, attempts to pirate him.
But really now, plain and simple, it’s a romantic comedy harem show dealing with how Kazuya interacts with various girls thanks to his camera. There’s not gonna be any surprises here in my opinion, so you pretty much know what you’re getting with this show. Take it for what it’s worth.
Oh by the way, potential yuri undertones…

This was nicer than Amagami SS..
Tough comparison with Amagami SS. Amagami SS had really horrible and stupid arcs, but that class president thing was pretty fine. Overall Photokano would be better due to cohesiveness and presence of a hobby to move the plot along. Like what movie making did for Ichigo 100% manga.
