TEAMGROUP has officially launched its latest innovation—the INDUSTRIAL P250Q Self-Destruct SSD—a solution for applications requiring industrial-grade data protection. The P250Q is a PCIe Gen4x4 SSD with integrated hardware and software-based self-destruction mechanisms, designed specifically for high-risk environments such as military operations, industrial automation, and AI infrastructure.
TEAMGROUP also released an external SSD (T-Create Expert P35S) with self-destruct option which they showed-off in COMPUTEX 2025.
The P250Q’s standout feature is its patented independent destruction circuit (Taiwan Utility Model Patent: M662727), which allows precise, hardware-level erasure of the flash IC itself. This mechanism is further complemented by intelligent software controls with an auto-resume function, ensuring that data destruction continues even after a power interruption—an essential feature for field deployment where system instability is a real threat.
With this level of control, TEAMGROUP aims to offer organizations a storage solution that not only performs under pressure but ensures zero trace data retention, critical in mission-critical and confidential environments. A one-click physical trigger and multi-stage LED indicators make the process intuitive for operators while meeting the rigorous standards of operational security.
High-Speed Industrial-Grade Performance
Beyond its security features, the P250Q delivers performance on par with high-end consumer drives, boasting read speeds up to 7,000 MB/s and write speeds up to 5,500 MB/s. It supports the NVMe 1.4 protocol and comes in 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities, using high-endurance 3D TLC NAND Flash. Integrated S.M.A.R.T. monitoring extends its operational lifespan and reliability under continuous workloads.
COMPUTEX Award-Winning Security Innovation
At COMPUTEX 2025, the P250Q earned the Best Choice Award in the Cyber Security Category, highlighting its relevance and innovation in protecting sensitive data across next-gen industrial systems.
Complementary Patent: Wide-Temperature SSD Tech
TEAMGROUP also announced it has been granted a U.S. patent (US 12283335 B2) for a wide-temperature M.2 SSD technology. This advancement allows the SSD to automatically adjust data transmission rates across three temperature zones, enabling stable performance in ambient temperatures between 85°C and 105°C. This makes it particularly suitable for electric vehicle ECUs, factory automation systems, and in-vehicle computing platforms, reinforcing TEAMGROUP’s commitment to innovation in harsh environment storage.
With the release of the P250Q and its companion thermal control technology, TEAMGROUP underscores its leadership in the future of secure, industrial-grade storage. By delivering dual-mode destruction, high-performance throughput, and ruggedized resilience, TEAMGROUP is setting a new standard for storage solutions in the era of AI, smart mobility, and national defense infrastructure.
