Modern day racing sims have advanced so far from the ones we used to play in the NES days and even those weren’t the first. Almost 40 years ago, F1 was already a thing but video games were just starting to pickup and with the idea of presenting that experience to players virtually has remained a goal for many video game developers and as technology has allowed to further advanced the racing experience in-game, graphical improvements has also caught-up presenting us with realistic visual effects to rival that of the real world.
