The problem with majority of gaming desktops such as ASUS ROG Huracan G21 and Zotac MEK ULTRA is they all come pre-installed with Windows 10. Manufacturers do not give option to bundle it with Ubuntu and, while you can install the Linux distro of your choice, they won’t provide support for you. Good thing there is System76 that offers gaming desktops in which users have the freedom to choose the operating system. Last November 1, System76 officially announced the start of pre-order for their Thelio desktops which currently has 3 variants:
- Thelio – CPU: Ryzen 2000 series or Core i5/i7 9000 series | GPU: Radeon RX 580 or GeForce RTX 2070 / 2080
- Thelio Major – CPU: Ryzen Threadripper 2000 series or Core i9 7000 series | GPU: Radeon RX Vega 64 or GeForce RTX 2080 Ti / Titan V
- Thelio Massive – CPU: Intel Xeon | GPU: Radeon RX Vega 64 or GeForce RTX 2080 Ti / Titan V
All of their products ship to 61 countries including the Philippines and come with the option for either a 1-year, 2-year or 3-year limited product warranty.
