When we last checked-out GIGABYTE’s outing in the Ultrabook segment, we ended up being very pleased with their slim offering and the company’s choice of not discarding connectivities for portability. GIGABYTE’s U2442V was a very capable machine but its graphics end up lacking in the gaming department. Turns out GIGABYTE was just testing out the waters of the Ultrabook segment and have a full line-up of products to suit varying needs. Today we have the U2442 (now U2442F) Extreme Ultrabook from GIGABYTE and let’s focus on what’s been improved rather than redoing the entire article.

Again as the U2442F features an entirely similar subsystem to the U2442V, we will be forego the standard system tests and head directly to the GPU performance. We advise you, the reader and potential buyer, to please refer to the our GIGABYTE U2442V Ultrabook review for a more comprehensive look at the computing performance of this product.
