The girls are still tight-lipped about their upcoming single, but if they’re telling their fans to start saving, then maybe we should. I’m starting to feel that this month won’t be over until someone from HHE starts shouting “SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!”

This week, we learn that the girls are making the music video of their first single, their Japanese choreographer has arrived to take charge, and new uniforms that seem to say “48 Group, bitches!”
When we talk about MNL48’s “peers” in the local J-idol scene, we should acknowledge them for who they are: competitors, rivals. It doesn’t matter if they don’t “intend” on being rivals, because their reason for existence points otherwise. In the bigger picture, that’s not entirely a bad thing. In fact, it can be seen as a good thing, for dominance breeds complacency, and competition often breeds innovation.
In the absence of a theater or regular shows, the only way for MNL48 to become – and stay – relevant is to have their own events, or to appear in them.
It’s a generally quiet week for MNL48 with only the announcement of SGO48 to give color. While Stan really wishes he can see them every week, he’d happily be bored rather than go through another ‘pasabog.’
