The news is finally out. After sitting on this wee bit of update for a few days now it has been announced that Garena is looking for Philippine reprensetatives for the Dreamhack League of Legends tournament that will be held in Switzerland this coming June. The qualifer/tournament is going to be a mix of online and live matches. Garena is limiting the number of teams to only 16 with a strict set of requirements. Yes that’s right, the right term here is that we, B2G invaded the PH office of Garena, one of the newest game publishers to enter the PH gaming scene. Currently, Garena is famous locally for providing online matches for Warcraft III custom game Defense of the Ancients (DotA). Garena.ph has announced that League of Legends is finally starting it’s Open Beta Test stage today, January 22,2011! Alongside the OBT is the purging of all match records so that players may start anew with the onset of the game’s OBT stage. So clean records, clean hero roster and clean masteries (yes you have to work up again but at least this time YOU know better right? :D) Also the OBT opens up the rune book and summoners can now level up to 30.
