Cybenetics CEO Aris Bitziopoulos, via the company’s media outlet HardwareBusters, has issued a public statement regarding the misuse of Cybenetics certification badges on several GAMDIAS HELIOS P2 Series power supplies. The affected models include the HELIOS P2-1300G, P2-1000G, and P2-850G/P2-850W, which have been marketed as “Cybenetics Gold Certified” across multiple retail platforms and media outlets — despite not being listed in the official Cybenetics PSU certification database.
The listings were found on major retailers such as Godukkan, Microless, Allway Groups, and Anfio, as well as in launch articles by FunkyKit and The Gaming Stuff. Furthermore, the official GAMDIAS Brazil website explicitly references “Certificação 80 Plus Gold e Cybernetics Gold” for these models — a claim also echoed by several regional distributors including KaBuM!, Compumarts, and Pichau, where product photos even display Cybenetics badges.
While these promotional claims may have stemmed from a clerical or regional communication error, the presence of certification marks on packaging and product listings represents a potentially misleading claim that could affect consumer trust and certification integrity. The issue also raises questions about regional oversight in marketing compliance.
Cybenetics has since contacted GAMDIAS directly to clarify the situation and offered two resolution paths:
-
Submit the HELIOS P2-1300G, P2-1000G, and P2-850G units for formal Cybenetics certification, ensuring all marketing references are updated only after official accreditation is granted.
-
Immediately remove all references to Cybenetics certification — including badges, marketing materials, packaging, and online listings — until proper certification is verified.
When reached for comment, Cybenetics confirmed that the issue was communicated to GAMDIAS over the weekend, and a follow-up will be made pending the company’s official response.
As of this writing, no formal statement has been issued by GAMDIAS, and the models in question remain listed on the Brazilian website. Back2Gaming will continue to monitor this development and provide updates once both parties finalize the corrective measures.
