A photo of NVIDIA’s GA102 die has been leaked online. This GPU is the largest client-segment product utilizing the Ampere architecture which will make its way to GeForce and Quadro graphcis cards. Ampere is not new as it was debuted earlier this year in operation for NVIDIA’s A100 Tensor Core scalar processor which is highly lauded in the HPC community.
The photo doesn’t really show much, not even a reference for scale so we’re all left to assume how much technology is packed in that silicon.
VideoCardz states that there could be another chip forged in the same manner, the GA102-400 which could make its way on the Titan cards.
