MMO mobile alchemy game, anyone?
Dead or Alive and Dynasty Warriors series publishers Tecmo Koei recently announced their recentรย acquisition of GUST, developers of the Ar Tonelico and Atelier series.
In this press release by Tecmo Koei regarding the acquisition of GUST, the former will all acquire 495 shares of GUST stock for JPY 2.2 billion, turning GUST into a fullรย subsidiary. Even before the announcement, Tecmo Koei has been working with GUST as their game distributor.
According to Nikkei reports, Tecmo Koei is planning to turn the Atelier series into a social game. There is no mention of discontinuing the traditional RPG roots of the Atelier series though.
