SEGA and Animate Co., Ltd. are continuing their year-long collaboration project featuring SEGA Group IPs, with Puyo Puyo as the second installment. The partnership brings a “Puyo Puyo” fair and Gratte cafe collaborations to Animate stores in Japan and overseas, timed to the franchise’s 35th anniversary in 2026.
Featuring eight globally popular IPs owned by SEGA and its group companies, the collaboration creates opportunities for fans to experience the works up close through exhibitions, merchandise sales, and cafe Gratte collaborations at over 140 Animate stores in Japan and overseas.
What’s on the Menu
Participating stores offer Graphic Lattes, drinks topped with whipped cream printed with character designs, alongside matching Icing Cookies featuring the same designs.
- Gratte Latte: RM19 each at Animate Cafe Kuala Lumpur, with flavor options including Iced Cafe Latte, Iced Hojicha Latte, Iced Matcha Latte, Iced Chocolate Latte, and a Weekly Special Latte, each topped with a printed character design.
- Icing Cookie: RM19 each, in matching character designs.
- Trading Acrylic Coaster (paid bonus): RM20, available in 7 character designs, limited availability.

About the Puyo Puyo Series
The Puyo Puyo series is an action puzzle game that has been played worldwide for over 30 years. The original Puyo Puyo, released in 1991, became a hit through its simple rules of connecting four or more “Puyos” of the same color to clear them, alongside its cast of unique characters. The series has since expanded to home consoles and smartphones. As an officially recognized title by the Japan e-Sports Union (JESU), it also has an established esports scene with professional competition held domestically and internationally. In 2026, the series celebrates its 35th anniversary.
