It’s official. Steam’s Summer Sale 2016 will start next week, June 23 and will run until the 4th of July, a week and 4 days after it’s initial start. After months of rumors and a lead on reddit, Paypal finally confirmed the news with one of their tweets which could be found below.

Steam is famously known for their low-priced retail of games during it’s major sales such as Summer and Winter. Each sale has a unique theme of it’s own, depending on the occasion, such as last year’s Winter Sale was accompanied with a comic of a gingerbread detective trying to find out the killer of an elf in Santa’s Workshop, with the help of Santa himself.
Last year’s Summer Sale however was themed as a “Monster” Sale, where users get to play a game similar to clicker heroes, where they keep on clicking at enemies while buying upgrades from the gold they earned. Each user was awarded a badge ranging from the highest level the user achieved.
Details on Steam’s theme for this year’s summer sale, is still on the mist. However, knowing steam, it’ll be a good opportunity to rack up those badges and trading cards.
Are your wallets ready? Brace yourselves as Steam’s Summer Sale is only days away.
