In the crowded market of gaming chairs, standing out often boils down to offering quality, adjustability, and long-term comfort. The original ThunderX3 Core excelled in these areas, particularly with its exceptional lumbar support and reasonable price point. The newly launched Core Smart continues this legacy, providing even better comfort at a reduced cost.
During COMPUTEX 2024, we tested the ergonomics of the Core Smart. It features a plush seat and a unique ‘2-in-1’ headrest. The self-adjusting lumbar support isn’t just a gimmick; it adapts to your movements, offering consistent support. Combined with cushioned armrests, the chair promises extended comfort for long gaming sessions.
In addition to the Core Smart, ThunderX3 introduced the Flex Pro. This model boasts 19D adjustability, including a 4D headrest, 5D armrests, 3D lumbar support, and a 3D seat, allowing for comprehensive customization. The mesh version of the Flex Pro is particularly suited for warmer climates, offering enhanced breathability. However, for those who prefer more substance in their seating, the Core Smart remains a preferable choice.
The Core Smart’s affordability sets it apart, launching at a lower price than its predecessor, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious gamers. While the original ThunderX3 Core was priced at ~$399, the Core Smart comes in at a much lower price, ensuring it appeals to a broader audience.
Also shown off during COMPUTEX was Thunder X3’s LAB-X customizable sit-stand desk. Featuring a 2-stage height adjustment with memory function to recall your favorite height setting. The key selling point of the LAB-X desk is its customization option to allow magnetic fans to dock onto an area of the desk as well as attach other accessories like a drink holder and a tempered glass wrist area.
