Intel kicked off CES by making a couple of announcements and we’re starting off with their mobile line of CPUs featuring their 13th-gen Raptor Lake family of CPUs. Intel’s mobile stack for 13th-gen Core CPUs will include their enthusiast HX CPUs and their H45 as well as their P- and U- segment CPUs aimed for low power applications and devices. Read on for more details.
Intel 13th-gen Core HX Mobile CPU
The enthusiast 13th-gen Core HX CPU is Intel’s top performance offering for mobile featuring the Core i9-13980HX: an 8P+16E model. This is joined b the Core i7-13700HX with 8P+8E and then Core i5 SKUs with 6P+8E and 6P+4E core configurations. The 13th-gen Intel Core HX mobile CPUs will have 55W base power and will support turbo up to 157W.
Intel 13th-gen H-series Mobile CPU
The mainstream H-series CPUs with 45W TDP targets will be made of 11 SKUs with the 6P+8E Core i9s with higher boost clocks than the similar core-configuration Core i7 of the same family. There will also be a Core i7-13620H which will be a 6P+4E SKUs and have a lower memory clock support of only DDR5-5200.
The H45 family is closed out by a round of 4P+8E Core i5 SKUs and a 4P+4E model as well.
Intel 13th-gen U- and P-series Mobile CPU
Intel’s low power CPU line-up for ultraslim mobile devices also gets a healthy offering with E-cores with the P-series CPUs comprising of 4 SKUs: the Core i7-1370P will be the sole P-model with a 6P+8E core configuration while Core i7-1360P, Core i5-1350P and Core i5-1340P all get 4P+8E confgurations. All the P-series CPUs are 28W and can be configured to turbo up to 64W.
The U-series ultra low power models features the addition of Core i3 models as well as a lone Intel-branded CPU, the Intel U300 single core CPU. The ultra low power models will make their way on compact devices such as mini-PCs and ultra low power laptops.
Intel also detailed ther 2023 targets for Intel Evo certification including fast-charging, fast connectivity with WIFI 6E and USB-C Thunderbolt 4 amongst others.
