Samsung’s new gaming flagship for 2021 has just been announced with the new Samsung Odyssey G9 2021. The original Odyssey G9 was a relative success for Samsung in the gaming front and they’re looking to continue that going into 2021 with a refresh model featuring the company’s Quantum miniLED technology.
Quantum MiniLED improves brightness levels significantly with a presumed 2000 nits of brightness on the Odyssey G9 2021. It will also feature a 1000R curve on the 49″ ultrawide screen and is rated for 1ms response. The Samsung Odyssey G9 2021 will be a 5120×1440 resolution.
Pricing and availability have yet to be announced. As a refresh model, it may sit closely if not displace its 2020 predecessor.
In 2020, the Odyssey G9 gaming monitor generated a lot of buzz—this year, Samsung is leveling up the experience with a Quantum MiniLED display and premium gaming features. The 1000R screen curvature, combined with Quantum MiniLED display technology, gives gamers an experience unlike any other. The new G9 joins Samsung’s full lineup of curved and flat Odyssey gaming monitors.
