Razer is announcing its commitment to aiding the recovery efforts in the Visayas region after a devastating quake that rocked Bohol just recently. Razer vows to commit 100% of its apparel sales during the Pinoy Gaming Festival and donate it to the Philippine Red Cross. Pinoy Gaming Festival will be held at the WORLD TRADE CENTER in Pasay during the 26th and 27th of October.
Razer CEO Min Liang Tan will be in attendance and sends his condolences to the people affected by the incident.
In light of the recent earthquake disaster that struck Philippines, Razer has vowed to commit as a community partner in recovery efforts by donating 100% of its sales of Razer apparel – t-shirts, hoodies and caps - to Philippine Red Cross during the upcoming Pinoy Gaming Festival on 26th and 27th October, Saturday and Sunday.
Razer issued its deepest condolences to those people impacted by the devastating earthquake and is hoping to raise at least US$10,000 to help with Philippine Red Cross recovery efforts.
“Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the earthquake. We have employees, partners and Razer fans who have families in the earthquake-impacted area and we want to ensure that there is relief and support on hand,†said Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, CEO and creative director. “Using Pinoy Gaming Festival as a platform, we are donating all of our sales of Razer apparel to Philippine Red Cross, as our small part to help the victims. The people of Philippines are facing difficult times and we are here to help.â€
Philippine Red Cross has been on full swing to reach out to affected families to the 7.2 magnitude Central Visayas Quake, with staff and volunteers mobilized to conduct rescue, assessment and relief operations in affected area. Proceeds from Razer will go into setting up evacuation centers, first aid stations and other essential needs throughout Visayas.
Razer will be participating at the Pinoy Gaming at World Trade Center. Pinoy Gaming Festival marks Min-Liang Tan’s first official visit to Philippines as an effort to strengthen Razer’s relationship with local fans.
