Unboxing – UGREEN Bluetooth V5.0 Transmitter
The packaging of the USB Bluetooth transmitter is pretty nifty. The box is pretty nice and sturdy while highlighting the major features of the product.
Taking the contents out reveals the whole content of the packaging. The USB dongle is held tightly in the center by a hard plastic molded to hold the product in place and also act as a cushioning. Other than that, it also comes with a manual written in five different languages.
Performance – UGREEN Bluetooth V5.0 Transmitter
The UGREEN Bluetooth V5.0 Transmitter has but one single function and it’s to transmit data to audio equipment. Therefore, this does not support receiving data which means you won’t be able to use it with a microphone. So that’s one important thing to take note of.
This USB dongle can be used on different gaming consoles including PC, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. However, we are not or cannot be certain if this USB dongle will work with an Xbox or PlayStation 5.
The USB Bluetooth Transmitter uses the latest Bluetooth version of 5.0. It’s a plug and play device and doesn’t require any form of drivers.
We tested its connectivity using one of our ANC Wireless headphones. The connection was stable and the stability was maintained up until 450cm. We started to experience intermittent audio and connection as we go farther than that. Before deciding anything about the device performance, don’t get us wrong here, during our test, various interferences are present such as Wi-fi signals, 2.4Ghz devices, and cellular signals. Considering those, we were not expecting it to maintain connection anything above 300cm. Surprisingly, the UGREEN Bluetooth V5.0 Transmitter for gaming consoles have done so.

As we already mentioned above, the USB Bluetooth transmitter has but only one function and it’s to transmit data to supporting audio equipment. It does, however, come with an LED indicator to inform the user of its current status.

Bluetooth transmitter devices are tools that most will use to equip a device with the capability to transmit audio wirelessly.
