PlayStation Vita Hype Video
0Hyped for Sony’s newest handheld? The video above showcases PlayStation Vita‘s UI, multiplayer, and chat apps. It also showcases its touch and gyro controls, launch games Gravity Rush and Everybody’s Golf, and calendar plus clock. So much features for this nifty handheld. It was reported that Japan will also have a NicoNicoDouga app for the handheld. Let’s hope for a Youtube or a NicoNico app for the West.
PlayStation Vita will be released 17 December in Japan, 23 December in Asian territories and 22 February, 2012 for North American and Europe.

Those who are itching to get their hands on the latest Sony handheld device, be happy and rejoice! Sony head honcho, Jack Tretton finally released the US/EU release date for the PS VIta. The date, which is on February 22, 2011 was announced during Tretton’s bit at the Web 2.0 Summit, which was held at San Francisco.
Pocket Legends Players Go Wild for Sony Xperia PLAY Vanity Items
0Thousands of players flooded Pocket Legends, the largest mobile MMO with more than 4 million downloads, to participate in the world’s first in-game, mobile flash mob during E3 to “Find the Droid.” Spacetime Studios gave away more than 11,000 Sony Xperia PLAY themed vanity items during the online event.

To be fair, I’d like to say to you readers that I haven’t watched the Microsoft Conference so I would not compare the Sony’s to that of MS (until I watch the whole conference). With that said and done, I’d like to now put out all my thoughts on what I witnessed during this year’s Sony Electronics Entertainment Expo 2011.
If you’d ask me what word would best describe what I felt after the Sony’s presentation, it would be.. WOW.

Uncharted Movie Still on Track, New Script Will Be “Closer” to the Games

Time for another bit of movie news.
Earlier on, we wrote about David O. Russell dropping out from the supposedly “in development” Uncharted movie. Now, /Film has news that Sony will be going with a script that’s closer to the source material than the one Russell has been talking about lately. According to the /Film post, he left the project due to creative differences with Sony, who, fortunately and apparently want a film that was more in line with the hit Playstation 3 games. (more…)
Sony Already Developing PS3 Successor

Sony has announced in a recently concluded investors conference call that the company is currently working on the Playstation 3 successor.
According to Sony Executive vice president and chief financial officer Masaru Kato that the company is currently investing a lot on the development of the console that will soon follow after the PS3. (more…)
