People in general want the cheapest option when it comes to anything that we have to purchase, gamers included. In a recent discovery, I stumbled across Kinguin.net, a website that caters to our game shopping needs for the best and cheapest deals.
Kinguin.net (while in its beta stage) is a site that serves as a hub for CD key stores to sell their wares while providing us gamers the protection against scam reseller sites. How does this happen? Well, according to Kinguin, interested resellers will have to go through a rigorous verification process and prides itself as providing the trusted sites that would actually deliver your oder and not run away with your money.
The site gives you the option to purchase in three currencies, namely the Euro, the Pound and of course the American dollar. Prices vary per store and I must say it has a very competitive pricing scheme. More often than not, the prices on Kinguin are cheaper than those found on Steam or Origin (like duh).
As for its game library, the titles are not as much as youรขโฌ™d like, but you can purchase the latest titles such as Assassinรขโฌ™s Creed III, Black Ops II and Borderlands 2. Since the website has just started its operations just a few days ago, itรขโฌ™s pretty much expected that the library is not as expansive as one would like.
Aside as an avenue for getting games cheaper, Kinguin also has a Kinguin gold system in place where every purchase translates to you having tha certain kinguin amount. Once you get to reach 1k Kingolds you get a 1 EURO discount in your next purchase. To make things more interesting, Kinguin is not limiting users from getting kingold through purchases. In fact, the site allows you to get kingold if you report bugs amd share kinguin through facebook, twitter and G+.
As far as customer service is concerned, mostly Iรขโฌ™ve read have been positive feedback. In fact Kinguin has posted on its customer support dropdown box that they would to your email within 30 minutes. Also the site shows how many customer service representatives are online at the time, making you see at least that there are actual people behind every customer service chat. I personally havenรขโฌ™t experienced it but as far as things the fanpage is concerned, there have been few complaints and well, the Kinguin.net staff has been lightning fast in replying for those who experienced troubles.
Itรขโฌ™s still too early to give the site/service my final verdict since the companyรขโฌ™s mettle will be tested in time. And as far as things have gone- Kinguin.net seems to know what itรขโฌ™s doing (since according to their about page, the people behind the site has had 4 years of experience within the game industry and are gamer themselves).
My only รขโฌลgripeรขโฌย with Kinguin is that your game purchases are at the mercy of the storeรขโฌ™s available stocks. Your favorite seller may have the cheapest prices on the list but they may have no stocks of the game you are looking for. And of course the other รขโฌลgripeรขโฌย would be the amount of game titles available presently but that would change I bet as the game continues on with its operations.
With Christmas time fast approaching, I think that this would be the most opportune moment to test out what Kinguin is offering. Iรขโฌ™d probably go buy some games myself (once I get enough HDD space though haha!). So before that happens, Iรขโฌ™d just like to hear some inputs from those who actually purchased a game already?
Is Kinguin that good? Sound off at the comments!
Also, for further details, you can just visit the Kinguin site or it’s official Kinguin fanpage.

It would’ve been nice if they were legitimate, unfortunately all I got was a duplicate key that had already been activated before. Avoid!
