Cool Things You Can Do on Your Macbook

Cool Things You Can Do On Your Macbook

Apple offers many features that allow users to maintain a balance between work and entertainment. Regardless of what Apple device you are using, such as MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or iMac, you can perform the activities mentioned in this article.

Edit Videos & Audio Clips

With the advent of smartphones integrating intelligent cameras, we all have become used to capturing a lot of videos, images, and audio clips. Now comes the editing part of making the videos attractive and compelling. You can either use the built-in iMovie app to turn your videos into stunning 4K clips by adding super effects.

Alternatively, you can use third-party video editing apps such as Adobe Premiere Pro for trimming and enhancing video clips. In addition, video cropper apps like Capto, CameraBag Pro, Clideo, or EZGif are good options if you want to crop a video without imovie.

Play Games on MacBook Air

Video games are a good entertainment option and also help in cognitive development, but you have to take control of the timings. With Apple OS Big Sur installed on your MacBook Air, you can play single-player or multiplayer games just effortlessly. You need to sign in to your Apple account and create a Game Center account to get started.

To get to the Game Center account, open the Apple menu, go to System Preferences, and click Internet Accounts. To download the most popular games, browse the Apple App Store or subscribe to Apple Arcade. You can install the fun and groundbreaking games on all the supported devices.

Get YouTube Videos to Play in Safari

Have you ever noticed the error “Your browser does not currently recognize any of the video formats available” while you tried to play YouTube in Safari? This is a common problem that you can tackle easily in multiple ways, but first, you need to identify the cause. Check if there are any issues between YouTube and the extensions; if yes, then disable the extensions that are causing problems.

To disable an extension, click Safari in the Menu bar, go to Preferences, click Extensions, and then uncheck and again check the checkbox available with the extensions. If disabling an extension does not resolve the issue, try to uninstall the extensions from the same window.

Watch Streaming Services Like Netflix

You can watch Netflix on your MacBook or Mac using Safari, Google Chrome, Opera, or Mozilla Firefox in all the regions where this popular streaming service is available. To watch Netflix, visit netflix.com from your browser, select Sign In and enter your Netflix email and password.

Cool Things You Can Do On Your Macbook

You need to have a Silverlight plug-in or HTML5 player to watch the live streaming services or movies on Netflix. You might require installing Silverlight 4 or later on your device to watch Netflix. Your device must be running OS X Tiger (10.4.11) or later versions. If you wish to watch videos on your iPad, ensure to have iPadOS 13.0 or later versions.

Socialize With Friends & Family

With physical distancing measures in place across continents, people have turned to technology to stay in touch with each other and stay social. The indefinite COVID rules have put a halt to the get-togethers and house parties, but several socializing apps such as Zoom, Houseparty, Netflix Party, etc., allow friends to synchronize video playback.

In addition, friends can add group chats to the screen so your entire gang can mention their thoughts about an action or a thriller video. The best thing is that these apps are available for macOS, Windows, Android, and iOS operating systems.

Communicate With Your MacBook, iPhone

Sounds interesting, right? With Siri’s arrival on macOS, you can interact and listen to your Mac lineup, and it’s great. Press and hold down Command + Space keys for a couple of seconds to talk to Siri. Alternatively, click the Siri button on the Dock or Menu bar to summon Siri.

For MacBook Pro 2018 and later versions, just say ‘Hey Siri’ to start your conversation with Siri. You can ask the voice assistant anything right from the weather, to the upcoming series, to what’s trending and where your car keys are.

Set Up Family Sharing to Share Content

The Family Sharing feature allows you to start a new family group, invite family members, or join someone else’s family group. A maximum of six members can join a group and share multimedia content like music, movies, apps, TV Shows, books, and iCloud storage plans or subscriptions.

Moreover, you can set up an Apple account for kids using the Apple ID, set permissions using Screen Time, and control downloading and spending activities. The Family Sharing feature can be managed from MacBook, Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch.
