Thailand And Vietnam Take Top Spots In Nvidia Gext Sea Finals

NVIDIA’s GeForce eSports Xtreme Tournament (GEXT) reached its thrilling conclusion last weekend in Manila when teams from their respective SEA countries clashed in the GEXT SEA Finals which saw Thailand’s Signature emerging as the CS:GO champions and Vietnam’s NEXT GEN AORUS standing on top of the DOTA2 podium.

Over 1300 teams competed in NVIDIA’s GEXT tournament which kicked-off in Manila last June and went across SEA – Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam – to find out who’s the best to represent their respective countries in the final battle which went down at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati, Philippines. Nine teams went on to compete in the GEXT SEA Finals which welcomed the players to a roaring audience to compete for a total prize pool of US$10,000.

GEXT qualifying tournaments were held in GeForce Certified iCafes which are powered by GeForce GPUs across the region.

GEXT is built around the concept of growing the gaming community in SEA by introducing a developmental platform for up-and-coming professional gamers. The competition was streamed live to showcase the performance of the players to a worldwide audience.

“We are warmed by the enthusiastic response with thousands of teams taking part and millions more following GEXT either at the event venues or online.  NVIDIA and our partners are thrilled to be able to help fan the growing interest in eSports across the region. Our award-winning GeForce GTX 10 series GPUs enabled the gamers to have better gaming experience,”

Simon Tan, Director – Consumer Business, APAC South NVIDIA

GEXT was made possible by gold and silver sponsors, some of which showcased their latest gear in the SEA Finals as seen below.

Cooler Master showcased products like gaming peripherals, cases and many more.
