You know the demands for certain market segments are changing when the majority of manufacturers focus less on something and pour all resources into another. Such is the case of motherboards with gaming and overclocking boards practically the only high-end on blast for the last 3 generations. ASUS for the most still caters to the mainstream audience and DIY server builders with their classic series of motherboards. Today we’ll look at their top-end offering which carries a large amount of features and extras. We focus on the Z97-DELUXE.

how much does it cost here in PH?
2 options available:
Board only is Php16150
NFC+Wireless Charger + Thunderbolt EXII + board = 22800
ASUS SRP is very high on paper. It should be a few hundred php lower on the market.
o.O either way they’re still expensive. I’ll take the Z97-A or Z97-Pro
The Pro is a good alternative. Its worth mentioning that if you’re not into the whole GAMING or OVERCLOCKING branding, ASUS is practically the only company that goes out of their way to make enthusiast level boards like these. Give and take a few features for the lower-specced models.
wow, nice review. It really packs features but pricey.
Do you have or are you planning to review their new asus maximus VII hero? Are there any avg pricing for those in the philippines.
I am planning to build a rig for 3d rendering purposes too with “SOME” gaming on the side. Does the VII hero plays well in this field?
Thanks! awesome site!
