Sadly, even after watching the pilot episode, I am not sure if this is a continuation or a reboot. You see, the episode breezes through content like mad, in a way that makes Campione! really slow. The pace is so bad that here’s what the episode covered:
Jun receives a paper invitation on which he circles an option. This totally doesn’t make sense.

A box shows up the next day, carrying Shinku as expected.

She’s wound up, and goes active.

Suigintou attacks, and withdraws in like 10 seconds.

All the other dolls make their cameos…

Suiseiseki asks help from Shinku, but then immediately confronts Souseiseki soon after.

The face-off lasts 2 seconds, and Souseiseki gives up, only for Suiginto to take her Rosa Mystica.

Hanaichigo goes ballistic on her owner, and Kirakishou eats her up.

Suiseiseki and Shinku disappears, and Jun is offered a door to pass through.

Seriously, WTF did I just watch. I heard this is like seven volumes crammed into one episode. It seems like the series wanted to quickly get to the second part of the story, as we see a grown up Jun in the preview for the next ep. But seriously, this is not the way to go. The characters acted rather inconsistent to their actual persona due to crammed airtime. This also is confusing for first time viewers, and plainly boring and annoying for those familiar to the show. They should have just jumped straight to the second part of the story while offering flashback scenes as necessary.
This is really a bad way to start a show.
