Still here? Alright let’s go. ALSO ,THIS IS NOT A WALKTHROUGH TO GET HER BACK.
Dear My Lady
Ah Lady Alcina Dimitrescu. The darling of the internet. First debuting in brief shots in Resident Evil Village’s reveal trailer, it’s only until her own full reveal trailer that we got to see just how larger than life the Lady of the castle is.
At 9’6″, she’s easily taller than any tyrant in the Resident Evil universe. The game explains this by her accelerated regeneration ability. This can be found in Miranda’s labs which details brief but meaningful backstories for the Four Lords of the village that we’ve faced to that point.

The notes above tells us that Lady Dimitrescu has a very favorable affinity with the Cadou parasite and exhibits very good mental acuity which explains her posh sense of being. Along with Heisenberg, Lady Dimitrescu are the best hosts for the Cadou amongst the fourth but due to inherent characteristics, Mother Miranda doesn’t deem them fit to be Eveline’s host.
Mother Miranda, Eva and the Megamycete

Mother Miranda is the final boss of Resident Evil Village and is a nigh omnipotent being thanks to her perfect control over the Mold. The Mold is the black substance that caused the incident of Resident Evil 7 and also continues on to Resident Evil 8. The RE8 Mold is the more natural form the one in RE7 which was called the mutamycete. The megamycete refers to both the mold substance as well as the superorganism compromised of the mold which operates in a hivemind network. The megamycete assimilates the dead in its covered vicinity, absorbing their cells and the knowledge contain therein.

Mother Miranda is infected by megamycete which gave her vast knowledge. She was infected following entering a cave where she wished to die in grief at the loss of her daughter, Eva. The knowledge inbued by the megamycete also gave her the idea that with the megamycete capable of assimilation cell memories, her dead daughter’s memory is still within the megamacyte. This ability to assimilate cells and absorb the consciousness of the dead is one the key plot points of Resident Evil Village and is the primary motivation for Mother Miranda.
Eva’s Revival
Mother Miranda seeks to find a perfect vessel for Eva who resides in the megamycete. The game doesn’t detail why she needs a vessel nor why using the Cadou mutation is needed like that of the Four Lords, as they would help her as they are adult bodies. Regardless, Mother Miranda and the Four Lords spread the megamycete to cover the entire village.
Miranda’s daughter, Eva, and her revival hinges on the fact that the daughter of Mia and Ethan, Rose, becomes her vessel. Following Heisenberg’s defeat, Miranda tells her plan to Ethan before she kills him. This wraps back to Resident Evil 7 as Eveline, the boss of the previous game, is connected to this as she was a product of the megamycete herself, made in a way where the mold was infected on an unborn child which gave similar incredible powers from Mother Miranda but suffers from accelerated aging which Miranda considers a defect hence why she did not want Eveline as a vessel for Eva. And just to make it clearer – Eva = RE8 dead Miranda baby, Eveline = RE7 big bad.
Miranda realizes that Eva is the perfect vessel being a product of natural-born product of a Molded, Mia Winters. But Mia is already cured of the mold, so what gives? Well, as Ethan lays dying, Eveline shows herself in a vision to Ethan and tells him why he’s pretty much indestructible: Ethan Winters is made of mold himself. He died in RE7 and has been living on as a molded like the Bakers.
The game doesn’t explain how Ethan and Mia’s child became the perfect vessel but her monologue states that she is Eveline’s complete form. One can infer Miranda means perfect when she means complete, having none of Eveline’s defects like her accelerated aging or just plain insanity.
“The Megamycete Catalogs All off Us” – Mother Miranda
After the death of the Four Lords, the Megamycete grows out of control covering the entire village. This sets up the Chris part of the story but what we need to know that would lead us back to why you’re reading this article, is in this part of the story.
As mentioned earlier, the megamycete covers the entire town, can assimilate the consciousness of the dead, and the consciousness of the dead lives within the megamycete and if you already have seen the ending, the game suggests that Rosemary inherited the power of the megamycete. Despite the mold hive blasted sky high, the consciousness of those that died before her are within her cells.
So, how do we bring back Alcina Dimitrescu?
How Capcom Can Bring Back Lady Dimitrescu?
Many fans are disappointed that Lady Dimitrescu plays such a minor role in Resident Evil Village and there is just so much more story to be had with her. We can always be fed DLCs harkening back to her earlier days but with such a rich story already being told especially with Rosemary Winters foreshadowing an immense power set.

Whatever Capcom plans to do with Rose in the upcoming games, she canonically contains all the requirements to allow a full revival of Lady Dimitrescu and potentially the other Lords in the game as exhibited when she revived herself out of the megamycete instead of Eva. During this, she also absorbed Mother Miranda’s powers. With the megamycete contained within Rose, she can potentially have the ability to conjure up any consciousness from the megamycete catalog.
But Ethan’s already dead. If this was all possible, wouldn’t Rose already revived her? Or is he really dead?
The characters in Resident Evil Village are easily the most memorable in the franchise and Lady Dimitrescu, her daughters, Heisenberg, Donna Beneviento and to some extent, Salvatore Moreau seems to be worth another shot in Resident Evil canon proper with more extensive boss fights and interactions.
Anyway, if Capcom decides to bring her back, all the requirements are in-lore in Resident Evil Village. All they need now is some motivation on why they need to but I believe the internet already provides enough reason for Capcom to do so.
