Are CS: GO FAMAS Skins Worth The Price?

Are Cs: Go Famas Skins Worth The Price?

Being new to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive “CS: GO” platform comes with endless questions. Almost immediately, a unique weapon, such as the FAMAS  catches your eye. Little do you know, the actual weapon is not unique. It is the skin that makes the weapon unique.

CS: GO skins are aesthetically pleasing covers for knives, cases, gloves, and of course, guns. It is pretty obvious, the basic CSGO gun and knife are a dull black, which many players describe as “plain ordinary.”

How Much Are CS: GO Skins

There are several factors that determine the cost of CS: GO skins. First, and foremost, the condition plays the biggest role in determining the cost of the skin. To ensure all skins go for a fair price, the float value is utilized to break it down into five categories.

Person Sitting On Gaming Chair While Playing Video Game

Factory New – 0.00 and 0.07 Float Value Range

Factory new is, of course, a skin that has never been used. It is important to note, new does not necessarily equal a higher price because some other conditions are quite expensive as well. Factor new skins have a float value range of 0.00 and 0.07, which is the best condition you can get.

Minimal Wear – 0.07 and 0.15 Float Value Range

Minimal Wear has a float value range starting at 0.07 and ending at 0.15. The better the float value, the better the condition of the skin. Other FAMAS skins with a float value of 0.07 will be in better condition than they would be if the float value was 0.15. It is vital to keep this in mind when shopping for used CSGO skins.

Field-Tested – 0.15 and 0.38 Float Value Range

Field-tested skins for the FAMAS assault rifle will have a float value range of 0.15 and 0.38. Since the float value is higher, the wear is going to be slightly more obvious than minimal-wear skins and a whole lot more than factory-new skins. With this said, field-tested skins can be a good bang for your buck as long as you play it safe.

Players on a budget can shop through the endless field-tested skins for their FAMAS assault rifles.

Well-Worn – 0.38 and 0.45 Float Value Range

The condition of Well-worn skins is worse than field-tested skins and better than battle-scarred skins. Scratches, scuffs, and other imperfections are visibly noticeable. Veteran players tend to stay away from well-worn skins because they lack eye appeal. As far as newbies go, they can be a great deal.

It really depends on your budget. Well-worn weapon skins are fairly affordable but remember, the cosmetic imperfections are truly visible even from afar.

Battle-Scarred – 0.45 ad 1.00 Float Value Range

Worst of the pact, battle-scarred skins have noticeable damage. Large sections of the skin are missing, allowing the FAMAS’ black finish to shine through. Hardcore players refuse to invest in battle-scarred knife skins and case skins for this very reason.

Summary

Skins for the FAMAS assault rifle are plentiful. Some of the most popular include the Meltdown, Afterimage, Crypsis, Eye of the Athena, and Roll Cage.
