Check out this custom PC build from Emarque, a csutom PC builder from Malaysia, who put a playable gaming monitor in front of a standard desktop chassis. Its now very common to see PC chassis have built-in LCD readouts, and some have even gone to the extent of integrating larger panels like HYTE on their Y60 its been rare to find something that’s actually usable in standard resolution that doesn’re weirdly angling the case or extensively modding the side panel.
Emarque’s latest offering, their D31 custom PC build, integrates a conventional aspect ratio screen directly in front of the chassis and while their demo of being able to game on is rather excessive, it doesn show the potential of chassis with built-in screens being a possibility and usage scenarios like home servers for IoT, homelab servers or other DIY usage that don’t necessarily need a screen are easily top candidates for this case type, barring the gaming components of course.
Still, you are free to do with it as you will and a lot of HUD options as well plain old music player are easily top ideas for such a case.
The case in the video is JONSBO D31 which features an 8″ TFT LCD screen with 1280×800 resolution running at 60hz. It hooks up to the system via HDMI and acts exactly like a second monitor and while its been around for a while now, I’ve rarely seen footage of actually using it as a monitor which really piqued my interest.
If you’re in the Malaysia region, you can get your own JONSBO D31 Mesh gaming PC build custom made by Emarque. Check them out here for more details.
