Methods To Make Money Playing League of Legends

It was impossible to make money playing League of Legends or any other video games a mere decade or so ago. Gaming was a gray area between a hobby and a waste of time. Parents often scolded their kids for spending too much time on their computers. Today, thousands of gamers worldwide make a living writing about, playing, and gambling on eSports. LoL is a significant part of this trend.

Riot Games released this iconic game at the end of 2009. The title used the DotA formula from Warcraft and improved it until it became the most loved competitive game in the world. The recipe proved a success and resulted in millions of people tuning into LoL eSports broadcasts and venture capitalists regularly making significant investments in eSports infrastructure. The scene is massively lucrative.

Methods To Make Money Playing League Of Legends

Guide on How to Make Money Playing League of Legends

If you’re sure you have the skills to make money playing the game, you’re looking at two options: becoming a coach or joining a team. In other words, you have several options to join the League of Legends professional scene and make money.

Coaching Other Players

Although it may sound absurd to the uninformed, some people will pay real money for League of Legends training. Many enthusiasts enter coaching to profit from the game. People may pay you to help them improve their skills once you have reached a certain level. You might make money by simply playing with them, offering advice, training them, and helping them develop their skills.

This process is similar to hiring private coaches for football, but LoL is an eSport, and football is a real-life game. Some players would benefit from an outsider’s perspective on their strategies and gameplay. For example, Nick “LS” De Cesare, a professional instructor, earns up to $150 an hour tutoring players. There is always a demand for qualified educators in the LoL arena.

Another way to make money playing League of Legends is to advance to become an assistant coach, coach, or head coach for a professional team. These positions may not be the most stable jobs, but they can be an excellent way to make extra money from the game.

Going Pro As A Player

Have you seen the LoL tournament prize pool? Some professional LoL players can make up to $15,000 per month by participating in tournaments. Sponsorships are an excellent way to increase your earnings as a professional player.

However, note that we are talking about the major leagues. While not everyone can make it, it is possible to strive for such a goal. Players who make it to these teams compete at the highest level. To reach this level, you will need to practice and sacrifice various aspects of your life.

We recommend starting small, joining a local squad, and working your way up. You’ll also be able to win prize money while you gain the experience, skills, and techniques necessary to enter the major leagues. It’s a win/win situation.

Selling/Trading LoL Accounts

If you’ve ever looked at your account and wondered how you could make money playing League of Legends, you might not have thought of this option. While this game is available for free, many individuals are interested in buying accounts. In other words, a player may wish to purchase an account if it has value.

For instance, competitive players may develop an interest if your account has rare skins, ranking, Riot Points, or Blue Essence/XP. Additionally, these players are typically willing to spend more money on it. Competitive gamers might want to start playing ranked and not grind for 30 days to get to level 30. Therefore, they might want to log in and immediately begin playing.

If you are a rare skin owner, you might be more appealing to potential buyers if you have some of League’s rarest skins. While skins are not a way to win, they can be a great way to monetize your experience.

These skins were usually only available for a short time or were reserved for collectors. Players who pre-ordered the collector editions also enjoyed other skins. This reason is why rare skins are typically only available in select accounts.

LoL eSports Betting

eSports has grown in popularity as professional gamers, and the games have become more prominent. Individuals can place online and in-person bets on tournament winners. Gambling and selling your account aren’t necessarily ways to make money playing League of Legends, but why look a gift horse in the mouth?

Statistics show that eSports betting is growing in popularity. There are many ways to bet on LoL, and fans can choose from several betting options when they tune in to their favorite eSports competitions. You must choose a safe site for eSports betting.

Another trend that’s becoming more prevalent is mobile eSports betting. Numerous casino and sportsbook venues encourage using a mobile app to place your eSports bet. In doing so, you may become eligible for perks or promotions unavailable to desktop players. One example is the Gunsbet mobile app, which offers such benefits.

Selling Merchandise

If you happen to be an online star, you can also make money by leveraging your influence to make LoL more lucrative. It is critical to have a broad reach when you want to stream on Twitch or create content on YouTube.

Like traditional sports, merchandise sales are another significant revenue source. After becoming a well-known influencer on YouTube and Twitch, you can start selling merchandise with your brand’s name. Numerous platforms, particularly Twitch, have partnered with brands and content creators to create merchandise.

Subscriptions & Donations

Twitch is an excellent platform for streamers who want to make money playing League of Legends. Donations and subscriptions are a quick way to make some money in LoL. While viewers do not have to subscribe or donate to their streamer of choice, many do so to show their support.

Your profile description can include a link to your PayPal account so that viewers can see where they can donate. Twitch offers a range of bundles for subscribers. The same thing is possible on YouTube in the description of your videos.

Don’t forget that subscriptions and donations are not about your skill at playing the game. While being good is a plus, it doesn’t make people want to support you. Engage with your audience. To increase their interest, you could play matches that have high stakes.

Marketing: The Influencer Kind

Influencers within eSports have also seen a rise in popularity. These people have a direct influence on their followers. We’re talking about great gamers and those who can directly influence others. These players may not be as skilled but are highly positioned in their respective niches.

Brands engage in eSports marketing, both directly and indirectly, because they recognize the potential to reach a large and interested audience.

You may make money by partnering with brands if you decide to become an influencer. You could be an advertisement model or sponsored by brands. Alternatively, you might acquire media rights and content licenses. Influencer marketing is another way to make money in LoL, even though not everyone can reach the top.

Revenue From Advertisements

It’s not surprising that LoL is so popular that there will always be content related to it. Among the most straightforward ways to make money is creating a video channel or publishing new LoL content.

Once you develop a following, you can generate advertising income. Creating a League of Legends-focused YouTube channel or Twitch channel is the least demanding way to achieve this goal. Even if you don’t compete, you will be playing LoL to earn money.

You can make money streaming games and receiving gifts and contributions from your followers on Twitch. Although streamers on Twitch can make a living broadcasting games, this activity is not easy. It takes hard work and time. Regardless, it’s possible to make money playing League of Legends by creating and growing your Twitch channel.

On the other hand, YouTube aims to create popular videos that people want to see. You can create gameplay- or game-based content, such as champion guides, strategy guides, patch notes, and general League of Legends discussions.
