Fable 3 Book Locations Guide

You need the books to finish the Pen is Mightier… side quest. To make things easier for you guys we’re providing the book locations (courtesy of wikicheats.com). Happy book hunting!

Normal Books
Aurora

# of Books: 2

Book Location
The Amazing Exploits of Baron Barnaby Beadle Head up the steps to the temple and look near the candles to the right of the altar.
The Very Unsafe Book for Boys, Vol. I: Hang Gliders Get on the looping path leading away from the temple and look for a shrine near an arch; the book is on the rim of the shrine.

Bowerstone Castle

# of Books: 1

Book Location
The Alchemy and Immortality Enter the royal bedroom upstairs in the castle and check the beds in the small room to the right for the book

Bowerstone Industrial

# of Books: 2

Book Location
Famous Killers: Terrence Posture On the table next to the piano in the pub.
Dangerous Things: Gunpowder On the table just inside the entrance to the Cesspools (accessible via the Kidnapped side quest.

Bowerstone Market

Book Location
Tyranny of Tyrants On a table near the window on the second floor of the Cock in the Crown pub.
The Grasping Avarice of Kings and Their Lackeys Cross the bridge toward the Millfields exit and buy the Dollhouse (third on the right). Take the stairs on the outside of the house to the second floor and head inside, then grab the book off the bed in the corner.

Bowerstone Old Quarter
# of Books: 1
Book Location
Dangerous Things: Industrial Machinery On the base of the statue in the circular park where the road curves uphill.

Brightwall

# of Books: 5

Book Location
Famous Kings of History: Markus Ivy On the bedside table in the bedroom on the second floor of the pub; head up the stairs on the outside of the pub to reach the second level.
Attack of the Killer Puffins On the windowsill on the back side of the furniture shop on the right side of the hill.
The Very Unsafe Book for Boys, Vol. 2: Ovens Climb the stairs on the house closest to Brightwall Academy to find this book on the railing inside.
How to Be a Master Swordsman On a stand in the narrow room to the right as you enter the Reliquary.
Famous Killers: Carl Tendency Complete the An Ancient Key side quest to have access to a locked library in the Reliquary. You’ll find this book on a stand in the corner of the library.

Driftwood

# of Books: 1

Book Location
Dangerous Things: Stargazing in Remote Areas After completing the Gift Wood for Driftwood side quest, go to the leftmost of the three large islands (when facing the beach) and enter the mine on the side of the isle, then look on the crates to the left for the book.
  • NOTE: Driftwood is accessible only after completing the Restoration side quest.

Dweller Camp

# of Books: 1

Book Location
Famous Kings of History: King Cedric Sitting on a table in the wagon near the top of the trail leading up to the pond on the right side of the camp.

Millfields

# of Books: 3

Book Location
AdventureQeust: A Select Your Own Endeavor Accept the Bored to Death side quest in Mourningwood and find the Normanomicon in Millfields. Take out the Hollow Men, then head into the Hollow Man leader was for the book.
Liver of Darkness Complete the Hobnobbing with Hobbes side quest, then enter the Dankwater Cavern and head to where you left Dans Mourir and enter the water. Swim to the far left end of the cave and take the book off the table below the entrance to the cavern.
Dangerous Things: Lightning Buy Reaver’s House or enter it during the Reaver’s Unmentionables side quest. Enter the room to the left of the stairs and you’ll find the book on the table by the windows.

Mistpeak Valley

# of Books: 2

Book Location
How to Be a Crack Shot On the counter in the ticket booth outside the Mistpeak Monorail Station.
Famous Killers: Xavier Smedley Enter Chillbreath Caverns via the entrance closest to the exit to Brightwall and follow the path until you reach a frozen river to your right. Follow it to a stack of crates, where this book is located.

Mourningwood

# of Books: 2

Book Location
The Mibbs-Spagno Theory of Gluttony On a crate next to the house closest to the floating storage platform in the eco-warriors’ village.
Famous Kings of History: Old King Oswald Enter the Ossuary and look for this book on the stone railing of the balcony outside the Gold Door, left of the entrance from Mourningwood.

Shifting Sands

# of Books: 1

Book Location
Dangerous Things: Ladders Enter the Sandfall Palace from Shifting Sands, cross the bridge over the first pool, and when you reach the door on the far side, go down the stairs to the right to find the book.

Silverpines

# of Books: 1

Book Location
The Very Unsafe Book for Boys, Vol. 3: Boxing Look on the crates behind the first house on the left as you enter the main settlement for this book.

Sunset House

# of Books: 1

Book Location
The Extraordinary Homunculus of Baron Von Orfen Walk past the fence and follow the path to the left to the gazebo, then look on the park bench behind it for this book.

For every 5 books you bring to Samuel, he’ll send you out to find one of these Special Books.

Special Books
Book Location
Book of Mysteries In Mistpeak Valley, enter the Chillbreath Caverns via the entrance closest to the Mistpeak Monorail Station (the one on the mountain overlooking the station, near the path leading to Brightwall) and fight through the mercenaries at the end of the tunnel. The book is lying on a table.
Invocation of the Watchers Go to the Bowerstone Old Quarter and enter the newly opened trapdoor. Chase the flit switch and the location of this book will be revealed to you.
The Pangs of Sunset In the graveyard near Mourningwood Fort, look for a dig spot to find the book, then defeat the Hollow Men that attack.
Reaver on Reaver Let your dog lead you to a dig spot in the Shifting Sands desert, and be ready to find some Sand Furies for it.
Book of Doom Head to the end of the Reliquary and defeat the two Boss Hollow Men to get this book. You’ll need to have completed the An Ancient Key side quest to reach this area.
