How Chess Games Work On Mobile
*scratches my head as well*

Chess is one of the ancient board games which people still play up to date. With the current rise in technology, chess games can be played now on your mobile phone. You can play chess on mobile here with your family and friends or the competitive chess community. It’s very easy to learn chess but difficult to master the game. If you are a lover of chess games, then there is no better way than having a chess app on your mobile phone. Let’s look at the reasons why you should have a chess app on your smartphone.

  • Solving tactics

Have you ever found yourself being idle with nothing to do when you are waiting for a friend or colleague? Instead of wasting your time doing nothing you can spend that time playing chess and improving your prowess. A lot of the modern chess apps come with an inbuilt tactic trainer. You can make use of those minutes which you are idle by training. For example, you can utilise 15 minutes of your time on training for ten days, and that will total up to 2.5 hours of pure training.

  • Playing against the engine

For some players, it can be challenging to play against a complete 2600 engine app. When a player plays against a full-blown engine app, the result of the game will be predetermined. However, the majority of the chess apps have a strength level which can be adjustable so that every player can have a fair game when playing.

Some players say that they can’t get the time to play as much chess as they would want because of their tight schedule. If you have a chess app in your smartphone, you will get the time to play the game anytime anywhere you want. Remember the more chess games you play, the more you’re playing tactics will improve.

  • Playing against your pals

This is another reason why you should have a chess app on your phone. You can play chess games with your friends through the internet, Bluetooth or using a single device.

  • Chess is cheap

Chess is easy and cheap to use on your mobile, and you also don’t need to have extensive equipment for you to play the game. When you feel the urge to play chess, you can take it to your neighbours or friends place and enjoy playing the game.

  • Logical thinking

Playing chess on your mobile phone enhances logical thinking. For example, you will know and understand the reasons why you need to keep your king safe at all times and also know that you should bring your pieces of chess out when starting the game. Also having a chess app in your phone will help you to learn and avoid weakening your positions during the game and not to blunder away your pieces for free.

Although before you become a pro, you will find yourself occasionally blundering your pieces away for free when playing chess. Chess is a game like any other and its unending process, and you are prone to make mistakes during the way.

  • Helps you to think scientifically

When you regularly play chess on your phone, you will develop a scientific way of thinking. When playing you will find that you are developing various variations in your mind. You will want to explore the new ideas generated in your mind, try to predict the outcomes of these ideas and the game. You will also come up with a hypothesis and then surge forward and test it to see if it will work.

  • Improving grades and school work

If you install a chess app on your child’s phone, the chances are that their grades in school will improve. Various studies have shown that the game increases the reading levels in kids, when played regularly. Children who play chess often perform well in school, and they stand in a better position of succeeding in their lives.

  • Convenience

Having a chess app installed in your smartphone is more convenient than carrying around a box full of chess boards. Every time you want to play the game you go to your smartphone, open the app, and you will be ready to start playing the game instantly.

Playing chess is fun since you will have to create new ideas with each new game you are playing. If you own an Android or iOS phone, you download the chess game app on your phone, and you can play during your free time or any other time you want.
