How To Win Solo Matches In Call Of Duty: Warzone?

BossMac SubaBy BossMac SubaOctober 19, 2021No Comments4 Mins Read

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on many platforms. It can be played on PC, Xbox, Playstation, and even smartphones. Millions of players from around the world are playing this free-to-play battle royale game. Aside from it being entertaining, the game brings out the competitive spirit in every gamer.

Battle royale games are known for their hard gameplay, and Call of Duty: Warzone takes it to next level, especially with its Solo mode. The Solo mode in Warzone is more difficult than its team-based counterpart. Aside from the massive map, loot is concentrated in Solo mode, and you have to compete against 200 other players.

As such, you need to come up with some strategies if you want to survive in Solo mode. Fortunately, this article serves as a guide thatโ€™ll cover everything you need to know to win in Solo mode in Call of Duty: Warzone. Not to mention, these strategies will improve your gameplay and skill level and possibly become good enough to participate in Call of Duty tournaments with real cash prizes.

  1. Know The Map

The Warzone is so massive that you can choose at which specific location you want to drop. Of course, there are areas where other players will flock and fight among themselves for kills upon landing. These areas are what they call in the game as โ€˜hot drops.โ€™

One good way of surviving until the late game is to be away from hot drops, so you donโ€™t end up getting killed early on. Choose to land on areas of the map with fewer buildings and are far from the center of the map. By doing so, you can gradually have your way toward the circle with confidence knowing that the probability of other players killing you from behind is low.ย

Aside from that, if youโ€™re in a quiet area, you could loot weapons and ammo in peace and find all equipment you need as you make it to the late game. You can also use this time to accomplish Recon Contracts, which will reward you and tell you where the succeeding circles will go.

Also, avoid being out in the open as you begin to loot for weapons and equipment. Being out in plain sight makes you an easy target for other players who are at a distance.

  1. Have Good Audio

When playing solo matches in Call of Duty: Warzone, the sound is your biggest ally. All actions performed by a player in the game such as jumping, running, opening or closing doors, jumping through windows, or looting can be heard by other players nearby.

Itโ€™s for this reason that you need to have good gaming headphones if youโ€™re going to play solo matches in Warzone. With good headphones, you can easily hear and figure out which direction a particular sound is coming from and determine the location of your opponents if theyโ€™re shooting at you.

You should also learn how to keep a low profile while playing solo. Careless players who keep making noises as they go around the map and loot for weapons often end up getting killed by other players.

  1. Avoid Buildings As Much As Possible

Solo matches are where youโ€™ll find the most players who just prefer to do camping. Warzone players would do anything to win, and that involves being inside buildings and waiting to ambush other players. Itโ€™s best not to enter or go near it, unless you notice a humming sound coming from a building.

You never know what kind of disaster is waiting for you once you go inside a building. It could be a claymore or a player just waiting to ambush you upon opening the door. Take note that campers also use chests as bait to lure players into buildings. Nonetheless, some players leave chests as bait.

You can also camp as a strategy for your own sake. If you suspect that an enemy is likely in a building, go to the opposite building or structure and position yourself. From there, you can wait for the enemy to come out of the building and eliminate them.

Final Thoughts

Most importantly, remember that you should always play to your own style. With the help of these tips, you should be able to come with your unique set of skills thatโ€™ll enable you to win tons of solo matches in Warzone. It may take time before you can master the solo matches, so just keep on playing. Consider the ideas mentioned here as you plan and strategize.
