Know the Game: Tips and Tricks for Texas Hold’em Poker

BossMac SubaBy BossMac SubaDecember 20, 2013No Comments3 Mins Read

The basic goal of Texas Holdรขโ‚ฌ™em poker is to hold the best 5 cards by the end of the tournament, out of the 5 community cards and 2 private cards dealt to the players on the table during the game. However, before you play Texas Holdรขโ‚ฌ™em Poker, it is important to know the basic rules of poker. You should know the rules, deck of cards used in the game, different betting rounds, how to declare a winner and the best casinos and houses to bet, to name just few of the more reputable ones:
888 very big in Asia and the arabic world.
Casino.com – famous in the UK.
Casumo – famous in the Nordic countries.

The game is played with one deck of cards. 2 cards are provided to every player seated on the table during the start of the game. These cards are known as hole cards. Each player can see his own cards but not of the other players. Then, 5 community cards provided to the players in terms of three rounds. These cards are open for all the players. The rounds in which the cards are offered to the player are:

  • Flop (3 cards are opened)
  • Turn (1 card is opened)
  • River (1 card is opened)

The game calls for four betting rounds which are as follows:

  • Pre Flop: the betting is based on the hole cards strength
  • Flop: in this round, the betting is done on the basis of 3 community cards and 2 hole cards
  • Turn: in this round, the betting of the players is done on the basis of 4 community cards and 2 hole cards
  • River: in this round, the betting is done on the basis of all 7 cards

The ranking of the cards is majorly done on the strength of the best 5 cards held by the players out of the 7 cards. The best 5 cards of every player are compared to one another and then the winner is declared.

The Tips and Strategies of Texas Holdรขโ‚ฌ™em

Poker_StrategyBelow lists some basic tips for poker that could help you beat the other players while you play in tournament.

Be Patient: One of the very basic rules of the game is to have patience while you are playing. You should keep in mind that folding early doesn’t mean that you have a weak hand. It helps you from losing a big hand.

Be Aggressive: The strategy says to be aggressive while playing poker. You shouldnรขโ‚ฌ™t be afraid while raising. When the players are low on the table, it is better to raise rather than call. So, next time you play poker, play in an aggressive mode.

Always bluffing is not right: Although bluffing does affect the game and brings it in your favour, but it doesn’t work if you are a poor player and underestimate the other hands. Moreover, if you try to bluff your rivals, then expert players will eventually understand your style and will come to know exactly when you are trying to bluff. Bluffing is good when you it at the right time in the right way with the right person, keeping all your senses open.

So what’s the wait. Just pay add some online deposit and start playing.

Thus, in order to be a winner of the poker, you should practice and get more experience in the game. Unless you’re extremely lucky.
