January 25 – 27 marks the two days Philippine Game Developers would be given the opportunity to test their mettle in game making in the 4th Annual Game Jam 2013. Spearheaded by the Manila chapter of the International Game Developers Association, this yearly event puts the country’s professional and hobbyist game developers into a 48-hour developing session where they will be tested to bring out a complete game within the time span.
For Manila game Jam 2013, IGDA Manila is partnered with iAcademy Makati, providing with Game Jam participants top-of-the-line hardware for the up coming 2-day game development challenge. The event itself will be held at 2nd flr. Mondragon Bldg. (found along buendia) after moving from it’s original location at iAcademy itself.
Aside from the the Makati location, CSB and Central Luzon University will be hosting their own Global Game Jam as well.
Unique to MGJ 2013 is that this will be the first time that MGJ will be handing out awards for the top games all Game Jam locations. All the finished games will also be accessible through the Global Game Jam Website.
