In this week’s episode of GeForce Garage, current AEW star Adam Cole (bay bay!) got himself a PC upgrade to replace his aging gaming PC which was gifted to him by content creator and streamer Grandpoobear. Besides his current ring work, Adam Cole is active on Twitch via his handle The Chugs. The gifted PC is a dated system running a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 and Adam is looking to get a new system to get ready for Star Wars: Outlaws as well as get a boost on his current Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree playthrough.
Adam shares his gaming history and how Halo 5 became his most memorable game and why this build is built around that love for Halo.
Adam Cole’s Gaming Journey
Adam’s gaming journey began with early memories of watching his dad play Road Rash on the Sega Genesis. His love for video games grew with classic titles on the Super Nintendo and PlayStation, such as Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil 2. However, it was Halo 5: Guardians that cemented his status as a true gamer, with Adam recalling how he stayed up all night to beat the entire campaign on his brother’s Xbox.
The Build
With his current setup featuring an older GTX 1080 graphics card, Adam was eager for an upgrade. The GeForce Garage team delivered with a powerhouse build:

Adam Cole on Building his first PC
Adam Cole remarks how the hardest part of building his first gaming PC was getting over the nerves and not damage anything which he eventually got over as the build went on.
He then goes over the Halo 5 details of the modded case sharing what details he likes but highlighted that he loved the hidden Achievements plate that highlights the Xbox achievement notification when you complete everything.
Case modder Mherex Gaming aka Will Schmidt to share the build process for the case mod which featured him watching Adam Cole’s streams and understanding how to best capture moments for him to integrate into the design of the case.ย Mherex shares he was challenged of doing the weathering on the case as well as the energy sword mold.
The new rig was put to the test with several demanding games:
- Elden Ring: Maintained 60 FPS at maximum detail (game is hardcapped at 60FPS)
- Cyberpunk 2077: Achieved 80-90 FPS with full ray tracing and DLSS 3.5 at 1440p.
- Halo Infinite: Reached 125-130 FPS in the open world and over 230 FPS during story missions.
Adam’s still grinding Shadow of the Erdtree in his Twitch channel, catch him there to see how his new rig plays under load. Adam Cole is currently in hiatus from AEW action due to an injury and with the extended time-off, AEW had to pivot from the planneed MJF vs. Cole eventual face-off. Cole is still under contract and AEW CEO Tony Khan has stated he is confident of the return Undisputed Kingdom’s leader in an AEW ring but has not shared any time table for this.
