AMD has announced a price drop across its Ryzen stack of processors including the Ryzen 7, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 3 and Ryzen Threadripper HEDT processors. The new prices listed below are in partnership with select stores and will last until the end of March. It isn’t clear if AMD will be announcing the prices worldwide but given the impending release of the 2nd-generation Ryzen processors, it could be a way to quickly make room in store shelves for the new processors.
The biggest discount in this list is with the Ryzen Threadripper 1920X 12-core processor. With the AMD HEDT platform looking to still have more time on the market versus the soon-to-be-displaced Ryzen-7, AMD is looking to put more Threadripper in the market to possibly put pressure on Intel’s existing HEDT line-up as well as the upcoming Z390 and new 8th-gen Core processors.
AMD’s roadmap does detail a new 2nd-gen Ryzen Threadripperย for later in the year but more details have yet to surface.

Upgrade or nah?
i’ll pick upgrade but somewhere this year.
Really depends on your needs. If the price is good enough though, an AMD Ryzen 1st gen would still make more sense than a 2nd gen e.g. 15k for R7 1700X vs 25k for R7 2700X? diba
Sabagay… 2017 na release yung Ryzen 1st gen, plus good siguro sya until 2020 or 2022.
